Level 25 Malachi has done me well in this event, I've got units I missed, heroes, tech and upgrade tokens across the board but haven't even built these new units or Layla yet. One day/event they will be the best thing going but I can't see them being much use for my style of play as things stand right now.

What I dislike about Alopex is they attack (hit and run) at the first thing they are near to instead of attacking the target we aim for like Raptor. I was hoping for it to be decent modern Raptor but even Raptor the legacy unit do better than Alopex lol. Maybe Cohesion Bonus x10 Alopex (-20% Damage taken) + the tech 20% Damage reduction + Corpus Faction Bonus 20% Damage Taken Reduction + Layla Aura Damage Reduction Taken to Alopex will make it a fast-moving air tank? I hope it will work and will test it once I have max tech and build 10 Alopex. If only the hero actually functions like normal Alopex, it would provide the aura better.
