I have one my self with a 60hp E-Tec on it love the rig. I have done allot of modification as well you spoke about stick steering being a bit of a problem. I put rack & pinion with a wheel it's not that hard to do and coats me about $200 the wheel is on top by the cup holder with a suicide knob on it. I also put a storage box the same size as the battery box in front of the battery box and put the rear seat up on the battery box. Have done more things but that would make this book even longer. As far as loading never had a problem.

I fought my dealer for two years over the loading difficulties. It wasn't until I contacted the factory and found out that this boat requires a trailer made specifically for the 754VS and that trailer comes from Diamond City Trailer Company. My rig now loads like any other boat. Eberline Boat and Motor fought me on this until I contacted the state attorney general, which didn't do much either. Since I got super upset about this issue and being handicapped and just couldn't no longer deal with getting the boat on the trailer I had to do something. But because I finally blew my top this poor excuse for a dealership finally ordered me that correct trailer, but I was also banned from coming on their property! Which screwed me out having somewhere to go for warranty issues. I like the rig, but at the same time I really regret buying it.

Mr. Dolkins is correct. The wasted space is for flotation foam required by coast guard. I pick mine up this week.

I know this is old but just in case, have you tried adding a roller between the runners? Or adding spacers to the front end of the runners to get the elevation needed?

About 40 MPH was all I was willing to run for safety reasons.

Pull the trailer outta the water bout a foot more ,let it hit the bunks push it up with the outboard,people don't realize,the trailer is designed to position the boat,it'll do it better than u can,to many try to put the boat floated over top of trailer,wrong,the trailer puts the boat where it needs it.leave top 8" or so of bunks sticking out,when u hit em let boat settle down,turn out board left or rite to center boat up over centerline of trailer,once boat is on centerline trim up and push,the moter will push down on transom,and shove u up on trailer.by the time ure eye hits bow stop the bunks should have boat in place,u hit it stops,hook the hook tighten winch and good to go.when u leave front of bunks out it'll lift front of boat to where it needs to be.let the trailer do it's job,quit trying ta do it for it.
