Our high school Merry High School from Jackson-Tn played this at all graduations up until 1970. I had always dreamed of marching down the aisles in our auditorium. But they combined two schools and I missed out on it. Love this music💖

My 1967 class at G.W. Carver High school in Houston, Tx. band played this march for our class. It felt so Grand then, and still does today, when I hear it. I played it on piano for my class to march in for our Class Night.

must echo other comments and say this is the best version of the organ arrangement of this song that I have found on youtube. I normally would not comment on such a thing, but this was so remarkable and the impression it made on me so strong that I couldn't not. Thank you for this beautiful rendition.

this was the music played at my elementary school end of year graduation ceremonies in the 60's. I attended Halifax Ladies' College in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Each grade walked into the halll in a procession. It was grand. Thanks for nostalgia!!

What? no comment? Well, we will fix that right now! Sometimes I program this selection for my musicales of short organ pieces as "The Priest's March," so the title will be more acceptable in a church with the cleric (s) than "War March of The Priests." This is one of my favorite pieces... The first time I heard it was when I was in the second grade of elementary school... I had a part in a so-called "Tom Thumb Wedding..." The pianist played this selection as the Processional... There was no printed program, and no one announced the title of the piece.... Thanks to youtube, I rediscovered this selection...Many thanks for your video, Dr. Jackson, from someone who lived in Greenwich, Conn. for a couple of years when he was very young.

I had this for my wedding and thought that the words "March of the Priests" would be more acceptable on our wedding sheets in the church. After our wedding the Rural Dean took me to one side and asked me with some amusement as to why I hadn't used the correct title.
