In contrast, my guess was right on the money. And no it wasn't random guessing. There seems to be a particular law/setting/attribute ALL his videos has, and I call it "Starting loser is strongest". While it will explain itself, let me expand on it. Let's say you're in the exact situation this awesomme youtuber is, and you need to make some new "games" with AI that are winning at random. This simulated game can be boring, be it one sided or be it too fast/slow paced or or be it stagnated. That's why you have an awesomme idea. You run multiple games so you can pick the best/exciting/interresting game out of them. And bam, you've got your awesomme video. Now this youtuber probably has the mindset that the most "thrilling" game, must be the one where at the beginning the side that seems to be losing must win. At 5:00 you see that red is going to overturn blue, or at the least accupy a lot of shooters so that blue doesn't get them (although I do have to say that some mechanics he invents be it accidentaly found or not, do work really well on making it easy for a comeback of the loser [like the balls hitting the shooters in a cramped space, buffs the shooters a lot and fast]. Really well done). This has led to me to being rougly ~90% accurate on who won before the first half (sometimes even before the first quarter). His videos are good, and he gets mad respect on keeping designing new arenas to simulate and work done to get it done (along with some good music). Predictable but chill.

You've really outdone yourself on this one. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole 15 minutes. Plenty of comebacks, encouraged by the design of the game. I especially love the Spear's design, they make for a very clear offensive push without being completely dominating. Though it's kind of hilarious to see giant triangles that are destined to only hit 2 or 4 blocks, so I feel you could scale the Spear's size based on it's power. (I recommend logarithmic scaling, rather than linear. Tweaked so that max size is roughly what we saw in this video, and min size is maybe half that.) And as another commenter said, an easy way to one-up this would be more competitors.

"without being completely dominating" Funny you should say that, because when I saw the first 1024 spear, I realized, NOTHING except spears really mattered, and a well aimed 1024 spear was going to end the game, that the first to line up the shot would win. The natural comeback effect would see to more or less invalidating everything else. Though in some fairness, the center of the sway always points at the enemy 'base' and is when it is moving the fastest, such that it spends the least time pointing the right way. Also the game did nearly manage to end without the spear. Though I think if the game hadn't been ended by that blue spear, yellow would have been able to power out enough spears from its one weapon to get one on target and end the game.

It did, that's how blue ended up winning. All of that territory domination at the end looked impressive, but even if their positions had been reversed red still had no way to stop that winning shot.

Love the idea and it's very satisfying to watch. Spoilers, though. However, I'm a little disappointed that this basically boiled down to who could get a lucky mas spear aimed right at their opponent's core first. I feel like the spears went from "worthless" to "overpowered" incredibly quickly with the multiplications too. Honestly I'd say remove the spear or divide the multiplication among four shots at 4 or higher. That way it'd become more about overwhelming your opponent's defenses rather than just hoping for one lucky shot from your backline.

I think the key to blue's victory here was its use of the bouncers, which provide a consistent pressure as none of the shots that hit the wall go to waste, making for more on-target shots, as well as shots that are flying around for when red made any large pushes.

Spoilers! Red took multiple spear shots at Blue's core but barely missed each time, then Blue manages to snipe Red's core second try i believe. Honestly with how one side would become much more powerful if one side were to try to just remove all of the other side's territory it would never work. I was actually predicting that the winner would be the one who manages to get a strong enough spear to directly hit the opponent and with that many close shots i thought Red would win tbh

tbf, the ending snipe was not needed. starting from 12:38, blue had a bunch of normal/bounce 1024 shots and was pretty much clearing the screen

@@john_hatten2862 I think the ending snipe by blue was the only thing that was capable of destroying red's core. If the spears didn't exist, the reduced territory would only make red's multipliers more effective at charging their towers, since they have less area to bounce around. I think the spear towers were designed to deliver the killing blow while the other towers only help to "clear the path" to make sure the spears don't run out of power before reaching the core.

Having the bouncers do the multiplication was a stroke of genius. It encourages comebacks. The less area you have, the closer you are to death, sure, but also the more concentrated your multiplier marbles are, meaning you can easily get max multipliers when forced into a corner, while your opponent has more area, and therefore has a harder time getting those high multipliers. It makes it so you need to have a LOT of momentum to overwhelm your opponent, or get lucky and have your opponent's last few turrets be purely offence or defense, like a spear or harden. Or both like what actually happened.

I like come-back mechanics that arise from the rules naturally like this; as one side's space gets smaller, bounces become more likely. I think its more interesting and less contrived than come-back mechanics that throw new stuff in. (there was a little bit with the additional turrets after red's first big push, but that felt more like an escalation of the field than part of the come-back mechanic.)

Normal: Shoots fast bullets that convert tiles Harden: Shoots medium-speed bullets that convert tiles into hardened tiles, which require 2 hits to convert. Bounce: Shoots bullets that bounce on the walls Spear: Shoots a single, big slow spear that penetrates through tiles. Disappears upon reaching 0. Bomb: Shoots out bombs that convert all tiles caught in the small explosions

Please pin this, mikan... Here is an explaination to all the mechanics that were here. Marbles in the plinko will go to box that the mother cannon will shoot out. It will touch the gray square with mikan to generate a cannon that shoots different types of balls. (Red/Blue): Normal: - If touch anything it will die, but if its a plot of land of opponent it will change to the color like this (Maroon -> Navy Red -> Maroon Navy -> Maroon Blue -> Navy) (Red/Blue): Harden: - Basicly same as Normal, but changes the colors to this: (Maroon -> Blue Red -> Maroon Navy -> Red Blue -> Navy) (Orange/Purple): Bounce - Exactly the same as Normal, but when it touch the wall it will bounce (Orange/Purple): Spear: - Like a penetrator, but the hp is in the trianges body, no changes to the color changing that the normal has (Yellow/Magenta): Bomb - Touch opponents plot of land bombs a radius of 6 plots, changing the color to the same as normal The 6 balls in each sides at the start (Salmon/Lavender): - Touch the cannon will multiply the number by 2, and after 5 seconds of no collides, it release various balls like i said before A suggestion: u should combine this with The Ultimate Mixture, some music werent used in the last 2 should be use: 1. Dark Heart - Crash Test Dummy 2. Dirty Palms & Benix - Legacy 3. Desmeon - Hellcat 4. Warrios - Mortals (alternative: Paul Flint - Savage)

I really loved the concept and would love to see it again. My only issue, is that the spears feel WAY too powerfull for not even being the last unlock. If you want to keep the power that's fine, but I wouldn't make it always hit the target.
