Thank you Vic, surprisingly few differences and only minor rule changes in the core set.

Nice comparison Ian. I still have yet to pull mine out and try a game. Will have to do at some point. So many things to do lol

You will get there one day Palmer, as you rightly say, lots of other things to do.

Thank you Nic, I was lucky the first edition plus its expansion, was being sold as a job lot for a good price. I was lucky to get them.

Thanks, Mate. Great video doing a side by side comparison of the two editions. I have been wondering whether or not to upgrade from first to second edition and this video is the best I've seen on KZbin that does this comparison.

Is it possible to play the Battles of the Third Age expansion game simultaneously with the main game of the first edition?

Thanks for sharing. I looks like the changes were made for good reasons and not just for changes sake.

I agree, those large cards are a huge improvement.

The first edition minis are supposed to take paint better than the 2nd edition.I do like the Nazgul from the 1st Edition though.
@TheDiomedef164 жыл бұрын
I had no problem with the paint on 2nd edition minis, though I know some have. The Nazgul from 1st edition is great.

I definitely had an issue with 2nd editon miniature painting. Mine became sticky and soon my pieces were stripping paint. The solution was a very specific clear coat; but even after that they are still tacky. I was told it was the type of plastic they used for the models...

The Nazgul certainly look more impressive in the First Edition but are more prone to fall over, which is pretty annoying. However I've found a trick to straighten them up, involving two cups of water, one hot, one cold. Once straightened they no longer fall over.

Interesting comparison bro!Like both maps..for sure bigger cards are better...and i see loads of minis for you to paint but when you do the game will look amazing!!Nice colour shirt by the way...;)

Cobalt Blue apparently lol. Surprisingly few differences between the two. The Gondor army is drying now after a soapy bath.

I like the colours of the 1st edition map,but the "topography" of the 2nd edition.
