If I was the wife I would go back to that restaurant and get more information from the bartender and give her a great tip for any good information about what the woman looks like and if they were holding hands because clearly the bartender that something was going on she sense she assumed I was remarried !

There are tons of marriages out there where someone has been unfaithful for 10 15 20 years without the other person having a clue. There are many different reasons for this they could just totally and completely trust their partner they could be going through a lot emotionally or mentally on their own so they do not notice the red flags. But this is definitely something that happens.
