The reason why the enemy always goes for the lead destroyer's is because they are carrying torpedos and are a high risk combatants

Bud why does it seem like you do the bare minimum to protect your carriers? Where was your air cover in the attack towards the end? Why did you not increase speed on your carrier and perform ANY maneuvers? You sailed in a straight line and practically gave the enemy ans easy shot and your ship was hit because of it. All damage adds up dude. Not sure why the carelessness and your determination to kneecap and handcuff your own forces before every engagement. It's not supposed to be a fair fight...

​@@brokenmonkeygamersI hope I didn't come off as rude or sounding too harsh. I understand your point and recognize they were carrying smaller bombs but the way i think about it is things add up. Damage little by little can become a big problem. And a well placed little bomb can be catastrophic if you get unlucky and take a direct hit in just the right spot. A carrier is the most valuable ship in the pacific during ww2. I always just do whatever i can to mitigate risks where ever possible and evaluate risk/reward ratio when plotting next course of action. I know not everyone is like that though and other people play differently or try different strategies so I wouldn't say you necessarily did anything "wrong" just decisions that would differ from my own in that exact scenario

​@@brokenmonkeygamersand when I think about it more your fleet was in close formation(which is great for putting up a solid wall of air defense) so maybe if you had maneuvered carrier and didn't micromanage there could have been a collision which may have caused more damage to two ships then the little bomb to one ship so it is possible you made the right call there
