full disclaimer, anything around 9.0 up to 10.3 WILL GET DRAGGED INTO THE 10.0 HELLPIT. So if you buy any plane on that range you will meet su25s, a10s, A6tram, AMX, and the new buccaneer. all aspect missiles are the standard at that br so playing a flareless and subsonic plane is frustrating.

Heavily recommend the Mirage F1C-200, its super fun, very competetive (especially now with the Magic buff), and they also get 4x Large SNEB rocket pods which allow you to kill 1.2 bases for some passive RP in addition to the amazing 30mm DEFAs. You also get more flares that you will ever use in a single game even at full uptiers

The soviet P63-A5 is probably one of my favourite props to fly, alongside the Yak-3 and Corsairs. Can definitely attest to it being a very good premium if you know what youre doing.

@@cheekibreeki4638 Not really. They are sometimes inconsistent which is annoying, but they still usually leave the plane you're fighting in a sorry state if it doesn't kill them immediately. I am sometimes wishing I had a higher firerate or more consistency with the rounds, but it still hits hard enough, hence why I said it's good if you know what you are doing

In my opinion the German G.91r/4 is also quite good for Air Rb (grind) and for Ground RB. In Air rb you just take 4 aim-9 b and shoot them on non-suspecting enemys and I know the guns aren't that good you can still get some kills with the 1200 round of ammo or you could just kill 4 planes with your missle (if you are lucky) and kill a few bot planes and rtb. For ground Rb you have 4 excellent bullpup missles and your guns are effective against helicopters (the bullpups btw too :) )

Tip for saving SL: If you have a ton of vehicles researched but not purchased like I do, buy whatever you think you'll use before the next 50% sale. If you feel you're not going to use a vehicle until at least the next 50% sale, leave it until then.

Recommendation that I think you completely overlooked: Tada's Ki-61-I Hei. It's exactly the same as in the tech tree, but both of them are some of the most fun planes in the game. The Ki-61 can outturn pretty much everything but most japanese planes (which are usually on your side) and its engine is also not too bad for a japanese aircraft. But the main selling point are the two MG151s on the wings which are probably the best weapons you're gonna get on japanese planes. Keep in mind that only this Ki-61 (and the tt version) have these, no other Ki-61 variant has weaponry that comes even remotely close. The Ki-61 is my favourite plane to fly and even I (pretty awful at air rb even though I have like 2000 hrs) can get 4-5 kills per match pretty frequently. I use it every time I get a high SL booster and I've had quite a few games where I got like 200-300k SL. Fun aircraft, sometimes a little brainless but certainly worth it.

Nah, the Ki-61-1 Hei is super overtiered. Just talisman the Ko/Otsu tech tree models if you want a Ki-61 - 3.3 and 3.7, same flight performance as the later Hei and Tei but a full BR lower. Ho-103 12.7s still more than good enough for shooting down people and are extremely effective; the navy Type 99-2s are better than MG151/20s; and if you're going that high in BR anyway, just buy the A7M1 instead.

got the spitfire f mkXIVc pretty long time ago, really like it tbh. If i wanna play props and know i wont do badly i play that plane. not that many planes that will out climb it and most of those you have other advantages against. Also fast enough to outrun most except the US but they are usually same side. Out turns most things (definitely gets beaten by anything 'known' for being good at turning though) but the stall speed will get you some kills, going 80 degrees up and at 60kmh? no problem, still have pitch control somehow then the bad, its at 5.7 which means i hope you enjoy playing against ju288... also your guns do nothing to them and 2 wing mounted 20mm are starting to get a bit disappointing compared to other countries guns in general. (and the 7.7mm may as well be bb guns at this point)

That Yak 3 VK107 is an absolute monster... Had my best Air RB game ever in that thing a few days ago, 7 kills, 5 of which being the last player alive on my team. It's flight performance is straight up criminal.

It's crazy because the VK-107 can carry Yak-3U-level performance up to a higher altitude. VK-107 only really starts to drop off significantly above 7km altitude.

@@shawndejong6699 They're rare probably because it costs a lot of golden eagles. In my experience, only things I've seen that can reliably counter the VK-107 are a well flown Spitfire (5.7 BR) or slightly higher BR BnZ monsters like the F2G, P51H, Hornet, etc. I have defeated it before in P-47M which is also 5.7 BR but it takes a lot of setup time if you are co-alt and can't BnZ. Yak-3U and VK-107 are arguably the best 5.7s in-game, being limited only by dive speed and ammunition count. It really sucks when you have to face them in a "Frontlines" map where the airfields are like 10km apart because then it just becomes an Eastern Front meta that caters to Russian planes even more than standard maps do.
