I've finally put my ass in gear and made my second tutorial. This time i decided to focus on the lower tier play, and the specific way to approach these battles. Hope it'll be of some benefit to you :)

Oh man from the least player in stats to the first place all thanks to your advices in all of your videos and some practicing the boom and zooming with the us planes which seems to be the way they are meant to be played. I'm a relatively new player in AB and RB. I've learned very quickly the one big disadvantage (aiming) of using a joystick/throttle/pedal set-up, and switched to a combination of mouse/throttle/pedal which seems to be working-out very well. The improvement in aiming is like night and day, and the trade-off in maneuverability is well worth it. Now, depending on the mood, when I get tired of getting shot down, I'll switch form joystick to mouse. Anyway, I've picked-up quite a few pointers from your videos ... what they do is save me from "reinventing the wheel" and, thus, saving time by learning from your experience. I particularly got a lot of useful information from this video; things that I kind of knew but needed reinforcement by seeing what you did and your explaining why you did it. Thanks, again, for taking the time in making all of these videos. The one reward is the satisfaction in the knowledge that you've helped others.

Thanks for the tips man, I went from consistently being that one player in the bottom three of the leaderboard, from someone who is consistently near the middle (8th- 4th place) and occasionally, ending up in 3rd to 1st when I have a good game and rack up ten kills altogether using all my planes (my record with a single plane is five kills and three assists) You know, assuming I don't get: -pilot sniped from below my plane -get my wings/tail snapped off after half a bullet -have my fuel tanks spontaneously combust since a fire breaks out despite not getting shot at all -run into a teammate while flying in a straight line cuz my teammate wasn't watching where the f**k he was going -or waste all my energy to try and dive on a lone plane, only for some guy to come in from 4km in 3 seconds and steal the kill the moment I get in range, (and this is on BR 4.0 and 2.7, so these guys are in biplanes and propeller monoplanes moving at roughly 500km/h, and not jets moving at Mach 2) leaving me with little to no energy and ripe for the picking for the spitfire that seems to have somehow ended up behind me despite all the enemy planes being 7-8km away, or the BF109 that God probably sent down since it started diving from the heavens

+GoBIGclan manouver the plane mostly with the keyboard, look around with the mouse when you can. Start practicing with it, you'll automate it for yourself after time ;)

When I first started playing war thunder I didn’t like a lot of the low tier bombers but now that I’ve been playing war thunder for about 1.5 years I seem to have gotten a lot better like instead of flying out my pby and getting 1 kill every three games I’m now getting 2-3 kills each game with my pby. And I’ve also learnt how to use the engines manually which helps me a lot with engine fires especially on the b17s (which I love the b17 but damn are those do335s and ta152s a pain)

This is off topic, but would you ever consider sharing pics of your controls/sensitivity settings? I know everybody says each one is personal etc, but I really want to try other folks settings to help give me a starting point for making my own. I play mouse and keyboard of course, and play AB and RB. What are your control sensitivities? It looked like you had such great control over the mouse. I'm dying to know!

Hey thanks for this. Just from watching the first 6:30 I've gone (in one day) from being the bottom 5 or so in any given game to the the top 4 or so. I also copied your lineup (mostly--no chance for the plane you open with).

+Damo 495 put throttle up on left shift, throttle down on left control, pitch down on w and pitch up on s. Reload on r, i've put rudder left and right on two mouse buttons. Thats some of the most important changes to the standard set up.

Its a lot harder to get those fast kills with only machine guns. I just started playing and im still at rank 1 in all nations. Any tips to get faster kills with MGs? Another thing... should i focus my crew skill points in any skill for arcade? Now im putting my points in G tolerance, vitality, reload speed and weapon maintenace. Is that ok or should i focus in only one? Sorry for the bad english. And keep those collab videos, they are awesome and thats how i got here.

+Gustavo Leite i would ad stamina to the mix, but other then that its fine. with mg's you really want to try for the pilot snipes. If you check my latest sub's choice episode you'll see i get 5 pilot snipes out of 8 kills with the bf 109 B-1/L, which has two light machine guns.

Oh you might want to also research your crew skill for weapon reload and maintenance! That will give you _much_ more time to fire long bursts without your guns overheating or jamming, and it will cut your reload time literally by 50% or even a bit more! You can also go to the last tab and pay the Silver Lions for your crew skill to be upgraded to "Expert" for that given aircraft! However, if you want an "Ace" crew you must pay Golden Eagles for it unfortunately :-(...

hmm, you should easily be able to get to those speeds while diving. I dont have some special version of that plane. Do you have it spaded Kim?

Hi Jengar, Love your vids and watch them all! I have a question about your config. When I fly a plane upside down, it won't stay where I hold it, it wobbles from side to side and one wing or the other flops down. I notice when you fly upside down, the plane stays where you hold it. Can you explain your setup and how you do that? Thanks! U4ea

it might have to do with the fact that when i do fly defensive i fly it mostly with keyboard input.

Hi Jengar, Thanks for the reply, but when you turn around upside down at a 45 degree angle your plane doesn't flop over. Could it be from your mouse based rudder settings? What kind of mouse do you use? I am trying to be a better pilot, but can't turn like you do EVEN using the keyboard. Help a brother out! ;-)

im using a naga razer mouse, set at 1800 dpi. It's practice i guess them, with keyboard input only the plane should be flawless.

im 10 yr player.. 58 yr .. my best was 21 kills in a 1.7 bomber.. ..i fly ..ai killed lol.. but mig 3 ... i did like 6 or 8 kills.. 5.3 .. usa 190 orange... i did like 12 kills... my biggest restriction is: ddr3 / old t.v monitor.... Thinks u need goos net as well .. poor net = dissapeared bullets!!! i like boom zoom.. but when tired from work... i like bomber hunting tactics.. like i play safety areas and sneek in - ai kills them.. luv BV german 1.7 ..20mm haaaa., also the russian 1.7.. .maxed crew .. used golden eagles to make it best can be!

how many meters is your convegence points? i tried putting my crosshair a little bit ahead of the circle but i dont get limited hits on the enemy

600 meters if the plane has guns in the wings, 800 if their all centrally mounted in the nose :)

Hey m8! So sorry to bother you with so many questions constantly LOL! You are an _awesome_ teacher, though, m8, and I wanted to ask you something especially since I am now flying again with my Soviet line (max br 3.3 with the Yak-1b and Yak-7) as I was getting burned out with my Japanese lineup as I had finished researching the Ki-61-I and Ki-61-I Otsu and was suffering from stock syndrome in both of them as I put them both in my line at the same time and that raised the br of the battles I was getting :(... Anyhow, I was wondering what ammo belts you suggest to use with the 20mm ShVak cannon and with the 12.7mm Berezin MG? I use Ground Target belt for the 20mm cannon right now and Stealth for the 12.7mm (and the 7.62mm on the first Yak [Yak-1]) and I just left my convergence at 400 meters where it was with my Japanese lineup as it really doesn't matter since all guns are central mounted, or should I move convergence out further? Finish planes off as much as you can. A swarm off ppl will most likely engulf your targets fire.

haha, there is no russian bias mate, check the other turorial on how to get more kills, that one is in us planes, same result. This can be done with all 5 nations. It's the pilot that matters. and the tactics he employs.
