Fun fact: The 50 Cal mounted on the recoilless guns are actually low-velocity sighting guns. The rounds are loaded with just enough HE filler to make an easily visible puff on impact and have the same ballistics as the rounds fired from the recoilless gun. The idea being that since touching off a recoilless gun has a dramatic amount of blast that very much gives away your position, it is better to fire some relatively covert 50 cal rounds to confirm that the round is going to land where you want it to before sending the main round out. The KZbin channel "Forgotten Weapons" has a video on one that they actually get to fire as well if you want to see one in action.

Its also used on gunships for the same reason. The round is .50 browning short. Same catridge, just shortened and less powder. They were used in training for familiarity reasons, but thats about it. Mostly for sighting and familiarization.

IRL you can turn recoiless rifles like the one on the Fiat with your pinky and you can turn them really fast if you want when you use it properly. But in-game it takes 1 year and 13 minutes to turn it 180 degrees.

About what happened at 8:46, at one point Gaijin changed the fuse on the 106mm recoilless rifle HEAT shell and it's so sensitive (0.03mm if I remember correctly) that it fuses on bushes. Extremely fun on some maps. Also, the MG on the 6614 is indeed a 50cal but it's a spotting one, only meant to aim the 106mm rifle by having similar ballistics. It only fires weak tracer rounds.

The AUBL and the C13 used to be my favourite light tanks. I used to run HESH on both of them because they were ironically very good. But Gaijin noticed i was having fun, so they changed HESH and made it even worse.

Had that happen a few times. Even had it happen in a build a bear competition. Figured out one particular tank had a clear advantage, so I ran that joker for a day solid racking up mad points. Then, all the sudden it wouldn't penetrate hardly anything . 😅 I was found out . Suckers at the snail club must have seen me running right up the score board. But I bet their admins who were on the score board didn't get their vehicles nurfed . Yup I'm still sore over that one. 😅it's been at least five years.

Tip for that 50cal it for range finding it only got tracer rounds and it actually works it pretty cool that they made some vehicles with recoilless rifles with that on it but it realistic when you see combat footage of them you always see the red tracer go out then once it hit they fire and it hit dead on where the tracer lands

Worst part of this vehicle is the "crippling depression zones" off the right side and front left, where you can't elevate or depress the gun respectively, thanks to the cupolas. Other than that, this little bastard is a hull-down sniping monster, and with a very effective HEAT round.

Rare Italian lunch boxes video? Mamma Fiat!!! Edit: the AUBL/74 was the most painful gun-armed AFV to use, second only to the Taiwanese M41D. I don't know what that 90mm has as problems but the accuracy is just...something else. Even the recoilless rifles used by the R3 and the Fiat are more accurate, and that's strange since are medium range AT weapons.

I hated fighting this when it was 6.3. But what I hated the most was when I played it, it had a bug (don't know if it's fixed or not) that if you come around a corner of a building (like touching it, or rubbing on it) you phase in the wall and get stuck. Because the collision hit box wasn't the shape of the sides of the hull.
