From there, started watching The Mighty Jingles' WT videos. Sadly I didn't get a laptop even capable of running the game at bare minimum settings until a year later :D

I have the Tigor myself, these smoll tonks are awesome! :D Also, I believe Torro sells the rechargeable batteries independently from the tanks. I'm not sure if they're universal or not so I'd poke their customer service to know which battery can be used for what tank.

It's the only one I have so accurate comparison is not really possible, but I believe it drives slightly slower than the Pz IV. And unless Mike has been going easy on the steering, the Tiger actually turns much faster in a "neutral steering" state.

Sometime during 2019 i will have finished some much larger RC tanks, the first one will be a Panther Ausf D (metal lower hull and turret) which is currently half done followed by a Maus (full metal), then a Puma (metal lower hull and gun) and finally a luchs (mostly plastic but i might swap some of the parts for metal so it can be properly driven outdoors) they are all 1/16 scale, much larger than those little 1/24s

@@MikeGoesBoom Heh i thought about that too lol but i think the maus would be the only one that could take the weight of a person and even then i wouldn't try it for fear of breaking them I was thinking about attempting to make the snorkel for the maus and sealing it somehow to make it water tight but i imagine it would be rather hard to pull off

I'm a proud owner of a 1/16th scale full metal Tiger 1 E from Taigen, and Ive had it for atleast 3 years. Tons of fun to take out once in a while Im not working on my traxxas slash rebuild. I have looked into Torro quite a few times and never came around to picking one up, but these are really interesting. Ive been getting into RC within the past few years, and love it! TBH the ones I had from China were cooler albeit not super high workmanship such as here. Guns shot airsoft pellets and you could even have them produce smoke. Really fun, everything worked nice basically.

I got a “trumpeter” IR T-34 for cheap on eBay a while back it works perfectly well except that the previous owner had an issue with the gun as in recoil mechanism issues that prevent the gun sound from playing, other then that it’s almost everything I’d like out of RC tank

I had two of these forces of Valor tanks last year being the tiger and the t34. They were well made and looked great but the infrared system didn't work properly and so I returned them. You can get 2s 1000mah rechargeable battery packs from hobbyking which fit perfectly and are only around £3 each to power these.

If you liked these, you'll like Heng Long and Tamiya as well. Tamiya has the best quality BUT they're pricey as shit. Heng Long and Torro (1/16) are cheaper but have a few manufacturing defects and operating costs. Most of my tanks are no longer stock and have had extensive modifications done to them (like removing the crappy airsoft unit and replacing it with an actual recoil unit). Seriously though, try them out. You can use an IR battle system there too but you might need to replace the stock one with the one from Tamiya.

It's tempting, but likely too expensive for the time being. If I ever did win the lottery, I'd grab one of those $16k full metal tanks though, to use as a chair :D

@@MikeGoesBoom Oooh you're thinking of the 1/6 scale custom kits from ArmourTek. They're colossal. But yes, even the 1/16 scale tanks are pretty expensive - I'll give you that. If you're ever interested, have a look at RCTankModified or DKLM / OKMO RC or check out the forum rctankwarfare.co.uk; there are some really nice builds out there.
