SAP gets absolutely krumped on by volumetrics so HE is my go-to round on any KV2, going for cupolas on close range typically is enough to make it work with other heavies you can't just atomize. I take the German captured one for a spin sometimes, it's very feast or famine.

Kinda wish they’d give this thing its 140ish mm of pen back. The pen nerf and later replacing the aphe with sap just ruined the fun of this tank. Nobody ever considered it to be op but gaijin said it needed to be weaker for some reason.

i honestly love this but like the fv 4005 more,it feels a lot more tactical to play

Not using only HE on KV-2 should be war crime, some time ago I would accept this because of Anti-Concrete Shell, but now when it is gone I just can't understand that, especially in premium variant that has MG with it can destroy those stupid fences that self detonate HE. Okey okey SAPCBC can be sometimes useful but really?. HE is 99% of the time on-shot one-kill without non-pens, that is the whole sense of this tank in the game. edit.: Also, you made me so much want to play good old KV-2 and 1, so idk we are good now heh. I was probably to angry at the moment so sorry for all.
