Unfortunately due to the F-15's thrust to weight ratio, their acceleration outran my R-73 range and I couldn't R-73 the 2 other F-15s after the maneuver.

you literally went from mach 1 to 400kmh in the span of a second against planes going mach 1.05 or more, of course the missiles will be outran, they would get outran by anything going at mach 1 or more if you launch them barely moving forward.

@@memeityyNot really? Neither is superior to the other they are just different but gaijin hasn't modeled either accurately. The warthunder fanbase has just descended back into rampant nationalism due to Ukraine and skill issue due to the influx of noobs during covid. The F-15 is maneuvering in ways it shouldn't and the Su-27 got "balanced" by making it's flight model shit and I'm guessing the logic behind this is because it has better radar missiles currently so they needed to give the F-15 something but in reality this is flipped the Su-27's NATO nickname is "flanker" for a reason. Gaijin instead of doing what I think they should have done and given the F-15 it's actual radar specs + aim-7P's(datalink like R-27ER) and made it the BVR champ(this is the reason it has 108-0 irl) they made it a ufo and made the Su-27 a missile brick which is stupid. I think all of this comes from the fact that the warthunder playerbase will whine about any new vehicle and get it nerfed into the ground because they have died to it a bunch but they never stop to think why they where dying to something it's just "if something kills me a lot it's op nothing should have to make me learn or adjust my playstyle I will now go whine on gaijin forms and reddit for 11h a day"

@@Blorb137 Fair. I haven't played the WT versions yet, but the F-15 definitely can be maneuvered in extreme ways, just at the risk of breaking the plane. Just look at the F-15 EX. Same airframe, but it's pulling near F-22 maneuvers. I wish they had made the F-15 more of a missile truck, something that it truly excels in.

Turns out that I would've gotten TWO cobra kills if you look closely on the first F-15 that went by, I rewatched the replay and I could've gotten two and not just one... If only if I had held my mouse button the first time.
