I just said in chat "Holy shit it's @@AdamTheEnginerd" then helped Dogeness with one fighter at altitude. I stayed high over the large island on Saipan trying to cover our group diving on a few ground pounders. Unfortunately the rest of the enemy team was already low and being mopped up by you and dogeness over the smaller island and the match was over too quickly for me to be more involved. Still great to see you in game and not die like a moron for you to see. :)

Thanks for the praise! I've got a decent amount of dogfight videos. My controls are essentially default, with MEC and pitch added. Apart from having pitch on your keyboard, I don't have any pointers on control setup. With experience you'll get better in dogfights by fighting someone who is better than you at it.

you should never try to dogfight anything in a p51 d30 only bnz and energy fight , unless it is a attacker or a twin engine

D30 turns better than average for the BR. I highly recommend turning with things you outturn if it's 1vs1.

How would you fight a d30 in a g6, at equal energy? It seems to me that the d30 is more maneuverable at high speeds, and has more thrust at low speeds due to 109s losing thrust, and also outrates the g6, which makes me wonder, what are the options?

At low alt the D30 will have the dogfight advantage, at higher altitude it might be pretty even (5km or so). Ideally you don't get caught in a dogfight vs more maneuverable enemies, use your better climb to start the fight with the energy advantage.

Hey Adam, i was watching another vid and in one of the comments left by dogeness he put in a link to a spread sheet that showed all the planes speeds at sea level. I was wondering if you guys did another one for altitude too or just that one at SL?

Nope only for SL. If a plane is faster than another plane at SL though, it's bound to be faster at every altitude.

ahh I don't know, I did some limited testing just with the 109s yesterday, yea the F4 is faster than the G2trop at SL, but go up to 4500m and the G2 is faster. same has to be true for some other planes as well

lol same here but I'm sure you still have better head-on than me.I regularly lose head-on against enemy fighters with less firepower.I fly P-47 or F-82 because A6Ms A7Ms and spitfires and the like won't risk a head-on against me but I believe if they ever dare try it they'll be surprised when they defeat me.

Baiting an enemy as in your video also means giving hope. War Thunder would've been better if baiting also give same or more points than a kill. I mean at least it will encourage teamwork to be fostered back again for axis team. I certainly like dogfight duels, but I still abhor the fact that being the last on my team to survive is just a pain to deal with the rest of the enemy team.

I think a great system would be that the player who got the kill can award an assist to whoever helped him the most to get it (bait, damage, etc). Another system would be to award an MVP (more RP and SL whatever you want) by vote to a team member, and the one who gets the most votes wins. Yet another system which will certainly never see the light of day in Gaijin's WT is to award a LVP (Least Valuable Player) by vote, which reduces SL and RP gains by 50%.

Plus l'indicateur de distance varie rapidement, plus ta vitesse + celle de l'ennemi est grande. Si ta vitesse est grande dans ce cas, ça veut dire que la vitesse de l'ennemi est plus petite. C'est la variation de l'indicateur de vitesse ainsi que ma vitesse qui m'indique la différence de vitesse entre moi et l'ennemi.

Over 100km/h faster* at 1:12. It comes with practice. You can see the speed at which the distance is ticking, which gives you the relative speed between your aircraft and his, and you have your speed and relative speed-your speed = his speed. He also came out of a climb, that's a good indication that he won't be going excessively fast, while I came out of a dive.

When I try to merge and I go in to the vertical, 90 percent of the time I just get wooped by the enemy. When you are turning to bleed their speed. you make tight turns so you both bleed their speed and avoid getting shot down, and after they run out of speed you just go engage them. But when it happens to me, i just lose speed, stall and get shot down. 1 mistake in the vertical, and you are dead. Do you have any tips about going into the vertical.

I do this all the time and I don't get shot. It's tuned to what the average pilot can do against me yes, if you consider their average aim to be bad, then yes it relies on "bad aim".

If you're going at a decently high speed, slightly rolling your plane around, and flying at an oblique angle, its extremely difficult for an enemy to shoot you down.

Cheating implies unique or rare access to a game-changing exploit which is not allowed by the rules. So by definition instructor is not a cheat. RB (and AB) wouldn't be able to exist without the instructor. I have no idea what point you are trying to make.
