Landmines do not go "click" and then allow you to stand on them, waiting for a release of pressure before going boom. You go "click", it goes boom. The one exception (aside from Hollywood's depiction of this) would be Bouncing Betty mines which spring up from the ground to then explode around hip height. Antipersonnel mines and even antivehicular mines detonate as soon as enough pressure is placed upon them. They're absolutely indescriminatory and will detonate on enemy soldiers just as well as a cherished loved one. Avoid any sort of minefield at any and all costs.

If a nuke ever went off in your lifetime, youd either better hope youre in the epicenter and are entirely vaporized, or 100 miles away. And dont drink the rain when it falls immediately after the blast because thats the moisture from any and all wet things, living things, that became superheated from the intense heat of the blast. It happened to the Japanese people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I will never forget learning about that. It vaporized so much of the moisture inside just previously living people that it accumulated as dirty and grimey precipitation and fell back down as "rain", but it was not normal rain at all. I truly hope we, humanity, never forget those horrors or become too far removed from that timeline and forget, and do it again to each other. Nuclear weaponry is petrifyingly disturbing and scares the hell out of me.

Russia invading Ukraine has called into question everything they report that they have because they reported having tanks & things that never went into Ukraine, they invaded with Tanks MUCH older & un-advanced than what they’ve always claimed to have.
