Waray-waray originally sang by Sylvia LaTorre 1965, made more popular overseas and in the U.S. by Chicago jazz diva Eartha Kitt 1967. I love this song since I'm from Tacloban, now living in "da hood", Chicago. Well done, ladies. You deserve a solid thumb up. .

jaec45 I really miss the antics of Sylvia La Torre ... i was then 9 years Old but I love watching her Movies back then and I was really amazed at her singing Ability back then.... I am now ni my mid 60s but love to look back at those movie stars of yesteryears like Dolphy, Panchito, Babalu, Redford White, Paquito etc... those where my days when I was developing into a teenager back then.... I now live si Sydney Australia and really appreciate youtube for preserving movie clips of the past.... congratulations... I Miss my country the Philippiines.

@@jhunbriones6965: Did you know Sylvia La Torre was a coloratura soprano and was called "The Queen of Kundiman"? Anyways, I used to listen to her weekly radio sitcom, "Tang-tarang-tang", with Pugo, Bentot, Leroy Salvador, et.al. in the early '60s. Thanks for your comment.
