This kit was terrifying to assemble (I got the reissue this last December). A bit of 2000 grit sandpaper helped shave the posts down just enough to get things together. Also, the hips/mushroom joints were a complete pain in the ass.

I believe it's "nip it in the bud" I always took it as a gardening reference. Cutting or trimming a bad/damaged/unwanted plant before it blooms.

watching this brought back oh so many fun memories of putting this together a few weeks ago. Well, I say fun memories but that's you know, a lie! This set looks great once put together and I've painted up my weapons so they look less drab but, yeesh, tough to recommend, valiant effort Emgo, I hope you regain some of your sanity soon!

I actually really like that Shockwave. If this ends up going on clearance, I might try this guy, being sure to shave down the thigh and shoulder swivels first.

emgo316 I don't know if your know this but Peaugh also got the Warbotron X-RAY set and he had tolerance issues with the "Not-Shockwave" too, specifically the mushroom-peg for one of the legs. In his video it didn't break off but he said that he could see some stress marks in the plastic just from him putting the set together.

Vegetable oil is your friend. Coat the tight pegs prior to assembly with a q-tip dipped in VO. It'll make all the difference.

I feel you dude when you say people don't understand fun. and I believe ultron is not truly dead but transferred to a new body because it happened so much in comics and the tv show. so ultron might be still alive for ,hopefully, him to be the villain again in a future movie.

Severely disappointed at the condition of that Shockwave; damn sorry the shoulder was doomed, and you sheared the hip peg, even if you 'fixed' it. Hope you actually enjoy it, now that it's whole. The hammer actually scared me when it came out lol I saw Kill la Kill before you did the Ryuko review, and I loved it, but I didn't know about that bonus 25th episode; thanks for pointing it out. Nice way to end the series. As for your singing voice, I really loved when you did the Dinobot Sentai Dinoger thing. That was legit hilarious, and the singing in the background of the entire skit was great

I found out a few tricks that made it easier to build mine.... you need a micro file set, and maybe even 220 grit sand paper as I used that for some of the process... with the thigh pegs you just need to use the micro file to clean it out a little bit. in the case of most of the joints I reamed them with the micro files a little to make the joints looser... if you notice the gray piece that is at shockwaves waist, it doesn't show in the instructions for transformation but what those pieces are, are holders for the legs in gun mode... you need to loosen the joints some and still need a tool to get the parts out but what they do is peg into the holes in the legs for robot mode... there is no mention of them in the instructions other than they get put on the toy while building. what I would love to know is who is the weapons kit for? any particular transformers?

I found this video because I too had trouble with the pegs in the chest being too big and starting to break. I found that using the screw being tightened pulled the whole thing together easier than just trying to force it. The whole thing made me feel like killing someone.

I just got the full warbotron set after watching your videos, and succesfully put together the shockwave. you're not missing out on much with him broken, the gun handle made from the arms is way too wide and bulky to get Warbo to hold it right

Oh, I completely missed that end bit there, oops. but i did later find out that if you only use 1 of shockwaves arms as a handle Warbo's thumb can fit around it fine, I just havent quite figured out what to do with the other arm

I am surprised that third party companies haven't made sets of the drones from any of the Transformers games like the ps2 from 2004 or foc or wfc. If they ever do I will gladly buy it with the exception of warbotron making it due to their dissapointing QC issues. Anyways emgo you are awesome and keep doing a fantastic job on your channel.

Get a plier next time. use it to squeeze parts together. Also use cloth so you would not damage the plastic while clamping them together with the plier :D

the combination power rangers gun looks awesome, its original gun also looks way better than the Shockwave gun, I think you did an okay deal jut with the big power ranger gun(because you already have the set),. it looks awesome. (you can just trow away the Shockwave thing :D)

Emgo, check out agents of shield season 2, it not only ties into age of ultron (it's actually mentioned in the movie), but actually has a whole cast of marvel heroes in it and is building up to it's own movie (Inhumans)!!!

LOL, everyone has been having troubles with thos tighs, when I got mine there was not reviews I had to figure it out myself, the problem isnt the peghole, but the mushroom, it also frustrated me but I managed to get it in, and once it did, it worked fine and its a great gun for bruticus, the rifle is in my opinion way better than the one Onslaught comes with, more lighter and looks much better than the other heavy wierd rifle

you basically said the same as another reviewer regarding the mini shockwave. tolerances, warbotron lol he had the exact same problems as you with parts shearing and the mushroom caps being extremely tight. maybe it could have been repaired if you pinned it but it isn't worth the effort something else would break and then the whole thing would be a mess. btw did you reference spaceballs AND batman forever or am i over thinking what you said about your favourite vitamin?

What I don't understand is that, how was it too fast for EmGo to see what was happening and who's fighting who ('cause you said so but, no offense EmGo). For example: Hulkbuster vs Hulk, how could you not tell who are fighting each other when there's an 11 ft tall massive suit of armor fighting against 8'5 ft tall and 1200 lbs gigantic green powerhouse.

re agents of shield...i have to say, Em...you jumped the gun...Agents of Shield was never really touted as a super hero show so to judge based on there not being very many super powered individuals (to begin with mind you), seems kinda unfair. The second reason is because there ARE powers involved (and there were also in S1, just not as much), but now the whole season is about the Inhumans, so powers are much more in the mix now. But yeah...i'd say give AoS a fair shot and you may actually find you like it:-) Support Marvel TV!!! lol :-) love your channel by the way! it's "Oh so precious!!!"
