Now serious, even if they were a 700km underground ocean big enough to maintain an ecosystem to theoretically maintain a entire specie of very hungry sharks I see 3 problems 1 if the meg can't find sustinance enough at 11 km, what the hell it's gonna find at 700kms? There can't be whales, not only for pressure, but they breath air. 2. If this ocean exists, how an "exterior ocean" specie enter? Pelagic creatures ( the animals that normally swim in the column of water) don't like narrow spaces, specially big sharks, and if the hole is big enough to a meg to enter, it will be visible, because we have mapped the entire bottom of the ocean, the undiscovered part are nothingness above 3 an ocean like that will collapse under the weight of trillions of tons.

Some points they forgot is first a massive change in tempature leading to its major food source which was small-medium sized whales had to migrate farther in the ocean which the megalodon couldn't adapt fast along with smaller sharks like ancestors of great white sharks which were faster meaning they were faster and overall better at hunting whales due to its lean body this lead to the great white adapting to the changes better along with being able to outcompete megalodons. My final point is the fact that during its time of extinction whales were getting bigger which made them better at fighting off predators and megalodons diet was made up of small-medium coastal whales

If the megalodon was still alive, it’d be a different species. It would’ve had to evolve to adapt for a different food source and a new environment. So chances are it’d look different, likely be smaller, and behave at least slightly differently(like not killing whales). So, technically the megalodon could still be “alive”, but as a different species. Which is close enough for me, Meg’s alive fr🗣️

Hi I'm Robert I'm using one of my mom's phones with her permission right now.Yeah but what I find suspicious is the fact that no small dinosaurs survived but all other small animals like mammals survived. It's almost as if aliens came and took all of the dinosaurs. Like I don't know just the fact that birds are the only dinosaurs that survived is a little suspicious. I like to believe that some small species's of dinosaurs did survive till the modern era and are just waiting to be discovered in the dense jungles at the equator of the planet like the Amazon or the Congo.
@sentinel_nightcrawler2 ай бұрын
The small dinosaurs survived for a period. But they were eventually outcompeted by avian birds as the birds can survive better in the new niche compared to them. Rodents and birds lived very different lifestyles from small dinosaurs.
