Correction: The Warburton cup is Lexan, not Acrylic (my apologies!). Ok, three really nice mouthpiece cups here for use on trumpet or cornet. Warburton has been around for years - and they're so nice. With their modular setup you can choose cups and backbores to suit most every need. Reaper, while newer, offers tremendous options if you'd like to 'tweak' a mouthpiece, like "I really like my Bach 3C, but if it was just a little deeper..."...Well, now it can be. :) ReaperMouthpiec... will get you to their site. Please; do yourself a favor and visit the Reaper site; they offer tremendous options. Enjoy, folks! :)

That first mouthpiece sounded great. One of the best sounds I have heard from you. Incidentally, I have a few Warburton and ACB acrylic tops. I find with the Warburton cornet one that I need to go a backbore size smaller than I do with the metal version of the same top. The plastic responds a lot quicker to note changes too. I did do a comparison video with spectrum analyser graphs and there was less high frequency on the plastic version, but I don't think the audience can actually tell the difference. Trent Austin uses a booster with his acrylics tops to get some of the mass back again. So, my experience is: You probably want o go to a slightly tighter backbore and probably a slightly shallower cup to exactly match the sound of the metal version.

Ditto, Jon, I will check out the Reaper website. I went from a Bach 10&1/2 C to a 12C to a Rudy Muck Cushion Rim 12S. Yesterday, I got a very good sound from a Giardinelli 12S. Toward the end of the session, I began to bottom out on low F# and G. Same problem today and also my range was reduced. So, tomorrow, I will take a day off!
