What an amazing service!! Solemn but uplifting. The ending was spectacular, having the Marching Chiefs play the Fight Song and the Warchant. This is what Coach Bowden would've wanted.

Charlie Ward is the best QB that never was. I idolized him when he was at FSU! True gentlemen and delivered an amazing speech for Bowden.
@billyblackmon47963 жыл бұрын
and by great good fortune he ended up earning way more money is a sport far better for his health resisting the thugs he played with in New York. They let him be who he was and still is. But to not even draft AT ALL or invite to walk on the Heisman trophy winner was a disgrace to the whole NFL

@@billyblackmon4796 totally agree. I remember an article saying the Chiefs at the time were trying to lure him off the court. But that was it.

Charlie ran the noles system like none other. It seemed as if he already knew their offense before. We all know that isn’t true but it sure looked like it.

@@jonathanwilliams5235 totally! I know Winston is regarded as the best FSU QB and I get it. To me though Charlie was the best. And just an amazing person as well.

My condolences to the Bowden family. Coach was a great man. I loved watching FSU teams in the 90's 2000's. He left a mark on college football so vast, and touched so many lives. The man will be missed but his legacy will live on. Rest in Peace Coach Bowden

I met Bobby in 1989 at an FCA EVENT in Charleston WV I was a young pastor and After hearing him speak went up to him and told him he missed his calling.that he should have been a preacher. He said”Son what do you think I do at halftime on Saturday s and every chance I get on sundays in any church that will have me.”I reminded him about that as spoke a few years ago at a Mens event in Tuscaloosa still preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ all these year later.

Coach Bowden was the greatest Coach that lived his life so he could live again. Charlie Ward lives the same way. After all the earthly gifts the only thing that matters is that you are prepared for The Lord to say, “well done, my good and faithful servant.” “Bold in his faith, church and state, whatever.” Derrick Brooks, Amen. Brother Deion Sanders, Amen. Faith. Family. Football. On that great gettin’ up morn’n fare thee well. Oh my Lord, God; thank you for allowing Coach. Bowden to shape this football world.

To the talking head Bomani Jones who thinks Bobby was a racist, get bent. I would be willing to bet that at least 40% of coach's players would be in jail, or dead if they wouldn't have had the chance given to them by coach Bowden. He was a man of 2nd chances. He took kids other schools wouldn't touch. Warrick Dunn for instances. No dad. Mom shot and killed when he was a senior. He was left to raise his siblings at 17. How many kids would have turned to drugs to make money. Warrick found coach and coach knew what he had. The rest is history. Also with all the hate today on the news and racial issues, if bobby was racist, then why are 100's of black men up there thanking a 91 year old white southern man. RIP coach. Like everything, they don't make them like you anymore!
