Adrian great idea on the cross slide lock, did you also know that you can take some of the cross slide backlash out with the small allen grub screw that is in the top of the cross slide. This adjusting screw goes into the cross slide split nut.

I am looking into a new lathe and this one is on my list, I was just wondering how have you found turning harder materials like steel with it? I know smaller lathes can sometimes struggle once you get out of the relm of aluminuim and brass. Thanks for uploading a video showing a milling slide on it too, good to know one can be put on with out too much faf.

not warco , i got it from rdg tools but it is very good athough a little large for 13mm chuck , i do also have a 1 to 6mm one that is equally good from the same firm , Ade.
