it is imperative that anything Blizzard based - should be an animation cinematic style - just like Arcane was ... and if it were to be Amazon produced - it could no problem be ten seasons and ten episodes per season ... and never run out of something new to tell considering how vast the Warcraft world and it's lore really is !

if budgets a issue they should get the guy(s) who make the awesome trailer cinematics for the game to just do full length animation since its getting so close to looking real anyway.. and im all for a lich king time jump for the next film focus.. they could even throw in a slow pull back from stormwind or another city with narrative dialogue as a timeline between warcraft and warcraft 2 fill in.. telling the story of what has happened in the time since the last movie ended and the start of Arthas story.. much like when you create a new character in wow and its narrates the current timeline while taking you to the starting zone.. and henry cavill all the way he was born to play Arthas

I stop playing WOW and still hope for new cinematics or series. They used to have best cinematics and it's a shame they didn't make anything out of its lore. They even proceed doing poorer animation for the game too. Hope for the best.

Honestly what made Lord of The Rings (example) so good was how diverse the characters, locations were, and how well done the story developed. "Warcraft" seemed rush and condensed, and we barely saw any other races/classes/locations besides the basic ones (humans, orcs, warriors, etc.). Give us the magic, the fantasy, the beauty and vastness of World of Warcraft! And in the end the fans need to understand the movie will never be like the game, and that's okay and that they should not trash it before the movie sees the light of day.

The warcraft movie was an intro, it was supposed to be the first part of a trilogy and it was a mistake. The first movie should be the most interesting part and the intro should be a prequel. With this unfinished trilogy people got the wrong idea. The movie should have been about Arthas. It didn't need any Orc in it and it would have been cheaper to produce too.

I know very little about the entire IP story but the movie was kickass, if only because of the music. If/when they don't use Ramin Djawadi for the not-sequels' music I'll maybe watch it, but not go to see it. That theme is masterfully badass!

My understanding is that the WoW movie pretty much barely broke even - of course that was a long time ago now.. I'm sure it's generated a little more profit over time. It seems like it's holding its popularity if not gaining some. Also - As a long time Everquest fan, I just want to mention I like Holly Longdale. That's where she first made a name for herself. So far I generally think she's done ok in her role although it seems more like she's getting a bunch of little-mini wins that don't last rather than making super impactful long-term changes, and that will only carry the Warcraft Universe so far.

i was confused too, seriously, why did they stop after the first movie?! with so much lore spanning well over 10,000 years, i see warcraft as the gaming equivalent of LOTR. the executives who decided to quit should have their brains examined. Arthas Menethil and Sylvanas Windrunner's storylines alone were epic and would draw in a greater fandom, IMO, and could easily span several films in the right hands. now, the mmo (which i haven’t gotten back into yet) focuses on the eldest of the three Windrunner sisters (Alleria) who has a deeply traumatic past... PURE CINEMA!!

They could just make animated series about the warcraft 1-2-3 campaigns (+Wotlk end story since it is kinda sequel to where W3 story ended) story. I mean first series of Castlevania and Cyberpunk really showed that you dont need super expensive product to make epic game adaptation. Not even talking about Arcane.

The biggest mistake of the Warcraft Movie was setting the story before World of Warcraft. No one knew who most of those characters were. They should have told the story of Arthas.

The setting should have been Warcraft III: rein of Chaos, specifically Arthas story. The movie they made should have been made later, as a prequel. There is no need to have a setup before you get people interested and Arthas is what is interesting.

It was ONLY UNDERWHELMING here in the states...elsewhere it was beloved & where the numbers kicked in. For whatever reason, the West just sucks when it comes to accepting things like this, w/good reason given some of the worst game to film examples: Resident Evil comes to mind first...HOWEVER - the way the West threw away Warcraft the movie was disheartening as it was a wonderful movie, & I am excited & most definitely looking fwd to the potential of more Warcraft, World of Warcraft movies. imo the first warcraft movie was horrible. The transitions were not there. This is coming from a warcraft 3 fan. I hope they go with the warcraft 3 campaign route. They should do a series following true to the source campaign and then when it comes to the finale of each race, they can have their own movie or intro, kind of like how the ending to the Lich King deserves its own movie. Going this route would also add to tv/movie production longevity. They need to think from a non-warcraft fan perspective with no context. In the first movie there were too many plot holes and skips. It was not well-explained to non-warcraft audience.

Reboot, please. Definitely change up that cast and make it more loyal to the lore. WAY less CGI. Go with costumes and CGI modifications to compliment the facial expressions of Orcs and other races like them. Practical backgrounds and on location shooting. I just wish Josh Brolin could have played Varian when he was Cable swol. There is no better actor for a life adaptation of him.
