This mission in particular is hands down the best WC3 content we have gotten in years.

From what I remember, both campaigns are actually 'canon' for this one, except the Orcs' final mission for obvious reasons. From what I remember of the novelization of it they made, they made it so Alterac's elimination by the Alliance deprived Orgrim of the reserves he needed to win at Lordaeron. That, and the fact he had sent his other reserves after Gul'Dan, because he considered if Gul'Dan won, Horde would wish it was 'only' an Alliance victory in the Second War.

That explains a few things, namely how we don't see/fight Thorias(pls correct if wrong) Trollbane of Stromgarde again. And alliance of Lothar and Wildhammer dwarves(neither of them dies this campaign either).

Such a great troll map. The team got everything of Zul'aman from the details of the buildings, and the bosses themselves. This truly is a great experience of a warcraft fan.

The Terrain Designing on this campaign is just out of this world mad respect for the Whole CSW team

My guess about troll archers and alliance campaign: Troll archers - The trolls living in Zul'Aman in lore were not the only troll tribe to join the Horde, (eg. those from hinterlands) some of them were even still loyal or part of (I don't remember exactly) the Horde in the beginning of Warcraft 3! (if you belive books). As for Alliance campaign: My guess is that it will begin at the end of orc invasion of Loarderon and proceed with the counterattack. Alternatively Alliance campaign will fill the gaps between the orc campagin mission eg. when we heard in Orc campaign that Orcs failed to conquer Ironfroge - that sounds perfect for the Alliance defence mission.

Finally catch a break from work, these few days were really something! And what better way to relax than watch J-man's Wc3 content, and I have all the remaining videos of CoTSW to see!! Glorious!!

So you know, there is a HEAP of free units around the map. Like the Bears in the bottom left. All you gotta do is break their cages etc to get them. map is super forgiving.

This is perhaps the best map/mission of this campaign, the terraining, the texturing, the ambient, beatiful perfection. Anasterian would be slav educative slapped for calling Zul'Aman ugly, which, as we see here, is anything but ugly. I'm only puzzled why they switched zul'jin's voice guy for cutscenes and banter(or taunt, if you go jay's route, works either way). Don't get me wrong, the one in cutscenes oozes menace, the usual one gives an affable air to the character. Sry, Jayman, Tharbek suffers from "suck it (insert name), no(insert honor/achievement/thing) for you!" syndrome, meaning no redemption arc for him. Next 2 maps will be very very familiar and also qualify for beatifully done, plus you get favorite heroes (young u and old z plus the bros). Unlike the war2 original, there won't be breaking mountains. Just prepare for some hefty fights.

What a cool idea for a mission but they should have given you a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the troll city before it started because your hero would have been knowledgeable about it already.

5:03 how did the Dark Trolls manage to arrive in Zul’Aman from across the ocean in Kalimdor? 13:35 it would be pretty funny if “killing” the enemy hero granted you no experience since he technically teleported away

I don't know about that Anasterian voice actor. The accent just really doesn't fit there imo.
