You can go chippo, but the air in this level is so weak your heroes can handle it. Properly microed bears in smaller amounts work with chims.

That's why you build 1, maybe 2 bears max, to use as a pseudo Scroll of Roar to buff up chippo in FFA.

Thanks for the video! So I'd originally attempted to go Chimaeras ASAP to destroy the southwest green base and I realized too late I didn't have enough lumber for any other upgrades (not even Resistant Skin to prevent my MGs from getting possessed, like what happened here). I ended up giving up on researching and focused on destroying the bases but it was too much, I could barely destroy the defending force of the big undead base and I already had to retreat to defend from Illidan and if I attempted to take on the Naga first Kael would get overwhelmed and then they'd attack me. You can imagine how frustrating that was. Some time after (having successfully destroyed every non-water base in A Symphony of Frost and Flame, and thinking how much better the Undead were against the Naga compared to the Night Elves) I decided to try again after seeing that I could actually get all upgrades pretty early if I just got a few more Wisps and strived to stay in No Upkeep-same as I did on that last mission. Took some tries but I was finally able to get to 3/3 and with a 100/100 force with 16-17 mins left. Unfortunately as I moved against the Naga (which I definitely think it's the best to do since Illidan keeps hounding you) I was faced with the biggest Lady Serpentra attack, the one with like six Couatl and three Turtles that forced your retreat at 15:09. If I let her get to my base she'd destroy everything easily and if I encountered her as I was attacking I'd face that on top of Illidan and his defensive force, and even tho I could beat that I'd have to rebuild my whole army setting me back a lot in trying to destroy everything. Luckily I could bait her alone with Maiev and beat her whole force with just my three heroes and three MGs, meaning I didn't lose anything. I then lured Illidan out and killed him and smashed the base (with the help of the Scroll of Animate Dead from the previous mission to get some Turts and Royal Guards) with a lot of time. I destroyed the tiny green base right as one of my mines ran out and went to attack the big Undead base from the left with over 6 mins remaining. Luckily I'd just killed the Dreadlord with Maiev so I had an easier time destroying their defensive force and managed to clean it up with two mins to go, meaning I could finish creeping the northeast of the map so that Malfurion could get the Tome of Int +2. Needless to say it felt very rewarding and made me dislike this mission a little less. I guess the point of the comment was to say that this video helped me realizing I couldn't try to imitate you because I'm much worse at micro so I could devise a different strategy that'd fit my playstyle, lol. Cheers! Edit: One thing I'll say is that I couldn't figure the best comp for my squad. I had five Chimaeras and three MGs which are really good, problem is neither leaves bodies and since they don't attack air you need Hippos/Crows which also don't leave bodies meaning you have to be more careful at keeping them alive as you can't use the Paladin's ult on them. I suppose it's possible to mass bears instead? I dunno, they're good but they get focused down much more quickly by Illidan and the Royal Guards. It's a tradeoff, it seems. Oh, and cool that you kept the Pendant of Energy from mission 2!! I was honestly wondering if it'd be better to hold it because I kept feeling that her mana wasn't very good (630 at level 10, not bad but you do spam your spells a lot). I'll have it in mind if I ever replay this campaign lol.

Hi. I completed this mission with almost 7.58 mins remaining. All bases cleared. All creeps wiped out. My strategy. Rule : never help human/bloodelf base prior to our own. 1. First build 7 wisps and lumber while army conquers goldmine. And rescue paladin.(easy work) 2. Attack upgrade for chims research. While naga first wave comes, eliminate it with ease of tripple hero. 3. Immediately after, clear the fountain. 4. Start mining and train wisps for lumber. And create avatar of vengeance and send it to human base. While undead attacks, avatar will be handling them. In our base, illidan attacks with two turtle. Entangle them and kill illidan with shadow strike.use divine shield to heal maieve and malfurion. 5. Most important step : use scroll of dead to raise dragon turtle and with them destroy shrine of azshara. So, there can be less flying units. 6. Build 4 chimera roots. While u will clear the left side naga base. It's easy with 1 mg, huntress and 2 talons and with 3 mighty heros. 7. Research corrosive breadth and train 4 chims. Simultaneously research 2nd attack upgrade. 8. With 5 chims(1 is already given at start), destroy upper side waterly base shrine of azshara. U will lost all 5 chims. But, dont worry. 9. Now rest is easy. Naga units are powerful but not against chims 3/3 upgrade. Create 2 more chimera roots and produce 6 chims and continue producing chims till ur gold last. 10. U can easily clear whole naga base with 8-10 chims with 3 heros. Use holy light, avatar of vengeance, fan of knives , treants and mainly tranquility very very often. Chims are very good against building. Just be careful against royal guards. They can using crushing wave and if not careful, u may lose some chims. So, bait them first and attack instantly on them one by one. 11. With 3 heros, return to human base. While ur chims are dealing with creeps and few other naga at upper right side. While u have enough lumber, kill all wisps gathering lumber. That will reduce supply. Now with 17 chims, attack undead base and destroy any one building to bait them towards u. Kill army and mainly lich and dreadlord. Now, undead base is just buildings.kill with chims and rest undead base. 12. Send malfurion to kill naga summoners while u clear remaining undead base and few trolls.

personally I like attack a building and lure enemies from inside their bases into my army and then attack. Also if I can I send a few flying units to attack the empty base from behind to snipe some buildings, but depends if they have strong defences there or if I can spare the units

Kael and Vashj fighting seemed highborne vs blood elves. Both are good at arcane magic. Vashj using powerful lightning magic vs Kael's pyro spells

All high elves (and by extension blood elves) are descended from Highborne by default lol

/late but I think it isn't Vashj but Lady Serpentra (since Vashj is level 2 by the time you can use her she'd be a very weak enemy). You also fight her in the last two Broken Isles missions.

Hard AI sure doesn't mess around huh. When I played it in normal the AI never attack as frequently or with as much force as it's doing here.
