Dan did not want want me to win our last game of warcry. . .

Thank god a video came out today! My Salt levels were dangerously low. I was such a cranky pants.

I've been singing the praises of the Slann since 2nd edition dropped, glad to see it get some recognition here!

I've been playing it a bit since the video came out. It can really help you jump ahead early by blasting away chaff, but can be tough if it comes in R2 and the opponent has already locked you into combat so it can't shoot anything. Still really good though.

Great video! It helped solidify an idea that I frequently use in list building but never took the time to tangibly explain or directly lay out. Hopefully it helps generate even more great list innovation from the community!

Yeah we might see Vexmor in all sorts of new contexts!

Is the Arbalester not a consideration in Wildercorps gunline lists? It seems like a pretty strong artillery piece to me -- easier to disrupt than a Slaan, but very high range and a somewhat comparable damage output
@andrewmorris5505 ай бұрын
So the Slann has bonus move/attack on a kill, it has no minimum range so it can't be charged down very easily, and it's far less squishy than an arbalester . An arbalester can still do work, for sure

They're so good. Also when you have multiples, it makes it feel less of a problem when you miss some. the more you do, the more they lean towards the average, which is devastating.

So Dan are Battle traits going to be used at major tournaments just like the divine blessings?
@thesaltyseagames6 ай бұрын
I'd be shocked if not. People seem pretty excited about them.

I'm surprised Seraphon aren't putting up more results - they have the best shooting piece in the game, the best offensive melee ability in the game, a good defensive reaction, fast moving chaff - they have everything you could want, all in faction

I'm with you, they seem to dominate in my local (albeit casual) play.
@armoire_enthusiast76 ай бұрын
From my experience trying to build with them they feel a step off from the top level stuff right now. The points are just awkward enough to make them feels like they are missing something but they are definitely close and can win tourneys for sure with some luck on matchups and dice!
@thesaltyseagames6 ай бұрын
Like what Armoire said, they are very good, but they're just a step below the very tippity top stuff. The pieces are all individually good but they don't fit together with as much internal synergy as you see in the scariest archetypes imo.
@kidzurag6 ай бұрын
I'm curious what kind of lists you're building and what you're losing to - we play casually, but tend to be a fairly spiky group - we've played most of the archetypes listed in this video, and Seraphon has always felt like it had an advantageous, or at worst neutral matchup

You can see a lot of the TTS league lists people have been brewing on wartally, but they seem to have encompassed most of the obvious combinations of Krox, Slann and so on out there.

I’m a super boob but can someone explain how adding a slaughter priest means you can add blessings? I thought blessings were an optional rule that always work as long as the tournament or your opponent is cool with using them…?
@machinamawatcher5 ай бұрын
What he means is the Slaughterpriest is cheaper so that list has more leftover points to spend on blessings.
@thesaltyseagames5 ай бұрын
Yeah I should have clarified. Slaughterpriest is just cheap enough it gives you more flexibility.
