For years now, every time I go fishing I take 2 big trash bags along. Unfortunately at least one of them gets filled up with garbage left behind from others. I refuse to sit and fish in trash. No matter where you go, someone seems to have left their trash behind. As a smoker, cigarette butts are trash too. They don't belong on the ground or in the water either. Oh well, my rant of the day.

You must not have ever been fishing because if you did you would know that sometimes fish swallow the hook into their gills and and more than likely that fish will die, so why throw them into the water where they will die anyways, might as well keep them and eat them

I can see your scenario being valid if you catch a fish that’s under sized for a particular area. Special trout waters could lead to this being a possibility.

I've loved the outdoors since I was a child hunting with my dad in the early 1970s. Littering is a big deal to me because, in my opinion, it mars the gentle, majestic beauty of creation. In the 1960s, there was a popular anti-littering commercial that featured a Native American man watching people littering in a national forrest/park and it brought tears to his eyes. That is how I feel when I see litter anywhere but especially out in wilderness areas.

Federal law says you don't have to identify to any law enforcement agency unless you are under arrest or at a lawful traffic stop. With that said is that different in a state park I don't know, of course you have to show game licenses which essentially identifies you.

The show is from like 2010 maybe thats why they carries cash. But tbh if the fish were still alive the cops even said it was an honest mistake why give them 150$ ticket each. No harm no foul. I love fishing here in south florida and alot of times just toss legal fish back and buy them at the local fishery because its cheaper to buy them than it is to pay the ticket. Its sad. Specially when you take a hunting class and they say public is our and they are just there to regulate more like discourage.
