Great video! I appreciate and respect the effort gone into the video. I do have one ask and it’s out of respect for those that participated in the war in this region during this time. The notion of the British Empire existing by 1942 is completely false. It may be seen as disrespectful to assert that British troops were somehow defending Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands when that wasn’t the reality. Australia and New Zealand sent troops to defend the UK but the reverse never happened when Australia needed support. Until the US stepped in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Pacific Island fought alone. They were effectively abandoned in favour of more “strategic” regions like India and North Africa.

The Pacific War was a clash between the East and the West, resulting in a final war in which the West conquered the East. However, after the war, the influence of the West declined, and China, which, like the Empire of Japan, aspired to become the leader of the East through violence, came to confront the West.

@@zxylo786 Doesn’t matter, the nature of the war on the Eastern Front was brutal and sadistic in of itself. As much as the Japanese where barbaric, the systematic and industrial nature of Germanys genocide was what made it scary. Nothing like it on an industrial, continental scale had ever happened before and has never happened since. As much as the Japanese where brutal in certain areas, it still does not compare to what Germany did. Germany’s medical experiments where worse and importantly standardised, as I said Japan had a few specific brutal examples like Unit 731 however it varied. Germany had standardised brutality and created an genocide that was being managed as I said on an industrial scale, peoples lives and entire nations and ethnicities being written down on paper, placed into factories and death factories like a statistic or money being traded. Japan does not compare to that.
