If anyone watch SC2 long enough, they'll realize that Rogue is very predictable. He's almost never go for an early aggression - always plant the 3rd hatch first before sending an army out. His goal is mid or late game. To counter Rogue, go for an early aggression and hit his economy. And then fall back and build a high worker count because Rogue's sweet spot is around 80 drones and he always prefer to build his worker first before building army.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Serral mostly the same?

I'm guessing since his strength is the late game other players will gun for an early to mid game win, hence he gains that much more practice against these types of push. I don't know zerg too well but he probably uses formulaic builds because he's just that good. I've only seen TY, maru and serral break him consistently, and even then he puts up great fights.

@@ecchen1 You're half correct. Yes, Serral is a micro player who prefer mid & late game but the differences are: - 1. He scouts A LOT (ling runby or overlord/overseer scout) during the early game to make see what his opponent is doing. He always put ONE ling at every air army path or enemy's next potential base to check for timing. 2. His worker/army ratio always at the right amount in case the opponent doing a push. 3. He always have some zerglings ready for skirmishes (small attacks) to hit his opponent's economy. Rogue on the other hand, just let his opponent build their economy which what TY did in this game (Game 2 - 90 SCVs).

@@peterchui1964 I have no doubt of Rogue's ability to defend especially the first push from his opponent. Unfortunately, it's the next pushes that create problems for him because he let his opponent to have high worker count and the pushes keep on coming until he can't defend anymore. You are correct about his build, it works against other top players but not against the elites like Maru, Serral, TY.

I'm sad and disappointed that I have to watch these amazing players from wardi or from base trade compared to before. Having pig,artosis,tasteless or rotterdam cast made the games 100x more exciting. I personally enjoyed their views and knowledge while making it fun casting. No offense but wardi you sound like a narrator for Forrest gump.

i'm assuming you're young. just remember these casters aren't movie stars getting paid 8 figures. they're just normal dudes probably making under 6 figures. try to at least suggest how he can get better.
