The Ducks led by Tyler Davis have their first-ever game against the Riptides. One of the first moves Tyler made in the off-season was to sign veterans Quinn Myers and Dayton Thoma. Then, the Ducks selected Kollin Stone with the third overall pick. Stone is from Jomboy Media's ‪@WarehouseGames‬ and won the MVP in Blitzball Battle 4. With #9 ranked Tyler Davis as well on the team, this duo could be dangerous.
The Riptides have had a tough start to the year in 2024. After winning the 2023 Como Blitzball World Series, they have not won a game yet in 2024. There are no home runs hit yet so far for this squad, and they have struggled on the mound to get through scoreless innings. Today playing a newer squad could give them a better chance to win. With a loss, they have a long road ahead to make a good seed in the playoff bracket or worse, finish last and miss the playoffs.
