Purnota was an instrumental first. Oni Hasan wrote this instrumental for his ex-girlfriend Purni when she left. He wrote this for the Band VIBE. Because when he wrote this he was in band VIBE not in WARFAZE. Unfortunately, before using lyrics on this instrumental the band (VIBE) broke. Then Oni Hasan gives the instrumental to SHAMS (Warfaze Keyboardist). He wrote lyrics for this instrumental. Then Oni Hasan was Warfaze's lead guitarist. You can check some songs by the band VIBE (Chena Jogoth, Shesher Opashe). They were something else. His Girlfriend's name was Purni that's why the song name is Purnota.

it's not just a song, it's an emotion for Bengali band music lovers. One of the greatest creations ever!!!!!!!!

The lyrics basically means that on one side there are all the mundane struggles of life and on the other side there is you (love of life). You make me feel full even though I have so many shortcomings in life. The song starts like this: “That day at dawn I heard the sound of blue pain deep inside my heart. In this city there are mountains of brick but there was no one to give me inspiration. My heart was tied to the mechanical world, it was tired and helpless. Happiness bought with money felt like crying in the shadow of sorrow. (x2) There is no time for aimless processions anymore now that you have filled my heart! No more darkness as you have summoned me in my dreams to join the endless colorful celebration (of life)….”

To answer your question, Warfaze was the first Bangla Heavy Metal band in true sense combining both Bangladesh and India. I have huge respect for Mizan. But in the early 90s, we were literally got blown away by one of Warfaze's vocalist named Sanjoy. He was just a school boy at that time when he sang BOSHE ACHI. Warfaze had to look hard for his replacement and ultimately found Mizan. I don't know why Sanjoy had to stop performing so prematurely. What I have heard that his voice could not take the pressure of singing in such fashion any more. Warfaze fans were devastated. You must hear the following track to understand why Warfaze became 🔥Warfaze🔥 in Bangladesh: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooCvoGWNpNConaM

To answer your question if you look into Warfaze's history. This band's 1st album came during 1992 and last album was in 2012. As like whole music industry globally Gen Z usually focus on youtube and streaming services to listen to music. While during 1992 to till 2000 Warfaze's most loved song was "Ekti chele" later it shifted to "Boshe achi". This last album shotto to any Gen Y or Gen X is an average album while Gen Z consider this as one of the best. This song is a masterpiece still there are better options available. Thats why as your audience are mainly Gen Z so you get recommendation of recent songs. This happened for "perfume" and "ei obelay" also and that startled you on the quality. I guess this may be one side of the logic.

Great way to start Listening Warfaze. The way Hammad explained about lyrics it was really good way to describe. This song is famous for Oni Hasan composition more than lyrics. So Haris is right Oni and Mizan had a amazing relationship that time. Unfortunately both left. One thing i must say about Komol Bhai. Komol is legendary Metal musician of Bangladesh. Back then 1980 That guy he used play Heavy Metal which was outstanding. His impact and influence in Bangladeshi Band Music is Huge. Btw if you guys like Grunge Rock/Alternative Rock try 'Omor' by Owned and 'Uthshorgo' by Aftermath. These two bands is such a promising Band right now.

A large section to Bangladeshi music is unknown to the people because many Bands did not make any youtube channel up until recently and of course no music videos. Many uploads are uploaded by other and later taken down after millions of views, hence less view in total. Almost all the Artcell stuffs are like this. G-series started taking downs Artcell stuffs people uploaded 3-5 years ago and uploaded in their channel. Otherwise almost all Artcell songs had more than million hits. About Artcell I wish you could check out Rahur Grash, Kandari Hushiar, Chile Kothar Shepai and probably just talk about those without uploading the songs.

Good job Good job guys ! Especially Hammad has done a commendable job in coming up with the meaning of the song. If you can manage, please try "Boshey Achi Eka", the first hit massive hit song from Warfaze (1st line up) during 1991 when we were at Dhaka University. 3 heavy metal bands (Warfaze, Rockstrata & In Dhaka) for the first time came up with Bangla metal numbers in an open air concert that was arranged by the Bangladesh Musical Band Association at Versity premises. This song still means a lot for Gen Y guys like us and reminds us of those golden days of our life. Because of that live performance the album became a massive hit !

Purnota is what I would call popular "hit". I like the song for it's lyrics and singing but I have more favourite Warfaze songs which I think are better. The reason behind popularity "Purnota" has to do with the fact that this was in the latest studio album they did. It was easy to be uploaded in the youtube and singing is great. I love Oshamajik, Naa, Boshe Achi and nostalgic Koishor more. Check these out.

This song was actually written based on Oni Hasan's personal life experience after he brokeup with his ex-lover. The basic tune of the song was laid down by him. Then Shams bhai (the keyboardist of the band) wrote the lyrics. The song actually has open interpretations to people. People tend to resonate their feelings for their lover through the lyrics. Warfaze has over the time produced some of such non-metal songs which became an all-time hit. Purnota was the most latest one. Before, there was Joto Dure, which was sung by Balam as well as Mizan. There were also songs like Mone Pore, Asha, Tomake, Obak Bhalobasha which became famous likewise through their lyrics and tune and how people could resonate with the feel of these songs.

This song is mostly about its lyrics. It has few beautiful lines that do not leave your head. Its so poetic.Another thing the song has created a sub culture mostly through social media. Gen Z used lyrics for their captions, using the music as background, covering it. Its simple music, simple composition but brilliant singing and legendary lyrics.

Big fan of your work! Highly recommending to review two songs from Bangladesh: Bhoboghurey 2022 Remake by Cryptic Fate. The song was first released back at 1997 with poor sound quality. CF is one of the pioneer of BD Heavy metal scene and this song is like an anthem of concerts here in Bangladesh. They re-recorded the song with an amazing video. You will definitely love it! Second one is 1988 by Shishir Ahmed feat Shuvo & Masha. Shishir ahmed is the lead guitarist & keyboardist of one of the most popular & legendary band of Bangladesh called Aurthohin. He has also started his solo career recently and each & every one of his releases has been a gem. The singers of this particular song - shuvo is a seasoned artist who has the dRockstars champion and Masha who will be featured in this seasons Coke Studio Bangla. Highly recommending to give these two songs a listen. You will love them 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
