Blood Rush is NOT a acolyte only mod. You can get it from Lua spy missions. so only 2 of the 5 you mentiond are actually not availlible without trading at this point in time.

I am a veteran but, after starting a new account I got most of the mods within 2 weeks. Maiming strike being the exception, not that I want such a stupid mod.

People should not be asking for nerfs to strong weapons, but buffs to weaker weapons and mods to shift the meta and make more options for people. Ive been playing the game sence december 2015 and i have everything that i want and most things i dont, i have all the mods in this video and i can say that nerfs have effectively ruined my fun for this game tons of times. Warframe is a PVE placed game and to be honest, in these types of games, it is a goal to be op. And you get op by obtaining rare gear. However when people who dont have the gear complain and shout for nerfs, and they happen..... its really annoying. You may not like the playstyle of memeing strike but people like me love it. Dont ruin the fun for other people. Also if you find it annoying to be in a lobby with someone using the meta, ask them to chill out and let others get kills or just leave the game and get a new team. The only time that there need to be nerfs is in exploits like OLD mesa. I ciuld literally rubber band my controller to the fire button and let the mag refill my energy for a hour. The only other time to nerf is in conclave but i feel nerfs there have been taken overboard too. #stopthenerfs

In game like this i want to Not Be Immortal. What kind of fun is that to kill everything with no problem and cant be killed? To balance that everything should be buffed along with enemies health. Look at this from devs perspective. Its easier to nerf one weapon or buff everyone of them? If something is op it destroys balance. No one want to end up using one weapon because others suck compared to it. Nerfs that make weapon useless are really bad. But if it just balances it out its perfect. For example penta. Without mods this weapon is nearly useless. So it would be nice for them to buff it. But if you have shotguns that shread everything with simpliest mods its kinda unfair. But shotguns have weakness. (Mostly hek and tigris) You deal HUGE damage to ONE target. Without punchthrough. They are great for Index for example. But if you are doing infestation run then shotguns arent best option. For a lot of enemies other weapon shines. For example ignis and atmos. This weapons wreck infestation. Every weapon has its use. But if weapon stands out they nerf it. This is how it should be. And i typed too much again xD.

Did some research recently, and found out that the smite/bane [faction] mods are superb. Turns out that they are calculated AFTER ther damages, therefore say you have a base damage of 1000, buff it up to 5000. Instead of being 5300 with a smite mod [30%] it would be 6500 instead

While I agree that Berserker should have probably been on the list, remember that Berserker activates on a crit, so if you're running something like Caustacyst (as an example) with it's 5% crit chance, Primed Fury would probably be the better option if you NEED the attack speed. Which, once the Over 100% Status effects are patched in, Caustacyst is probably going to have quite the niche for itself, as an aside.

Nah, Berserker didn't belong on this list. Yes, it gives you (just barely - Primed Fury is almost as fast) the fastest swings of any mod, but only once activated and then only as long as you can maintain it. It's a serious pain in the ass if you're wielding a slow weapon and there isn't a constant enough stream of enemies to hit.

Berserker is awesome. Throw it on the Volnus or one of the blade and whips with Defiled Snapdragon. Berserker A L S O stacks up to 75% whereas Primed Fury only increases speed by 55% but apparently it doesn't deserve a spot so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In regards to Weeping Wounds/Blood Rush, if you have Naramon and invest in the tree you can get a perk that slowly drains your counter, rather than completing draining it when you go for awhile without melee hitting. This allows you to keep your increased status/critical chance for longer and build upon it more.

For the guys farming condition overload: try to transmute it. I did around 15 transmutations with only rare mods and actually got 2 CO.

For those too lazy, condition overload grows in damage exponentially: 1.6^(statuses) so 5 statuses is 1.6^5 or ~10x damage. 12 statuses would do 284.46x damage

With the new focus trees...Narramon tree has power strike...that active in the tree pretty much replaces Drifting Contact mod....no more worries about losing your combo counter all at once. It will only reduce your counter by a specific amount every few seconds your put of melee combat. Potential for new melee builds are opening up with the new Narramon tree.

If someone is getting covert lethality using mods that increase attack speed makes Finishers faster, so mods such as Fury and Gladiator Vice would make it really fast, Base attack speed of a dagger makes no difference only attack speed mods

Primed Reach is a favorite of mine. I have a zaw that continuously red crits without sliding around with meme strike that has a 13m range. (Riven) Plus, I pair it with an adarza kavat and it has the mods that allow my melee attacks to heal it and its melee attacks to heal me. Plus, the adarza gives me the crit boost, so I red crit even higher. Then usually pair that with a speed volt prime and I'm a self healing speed blender.

I own all of these mods and all (besides Covert Lethality) are equipped on my Orthos Prime. All maxed. And Primed Pressure point maxed, blood rush, maiming strike, weeping wounds, organ shatter, berserker, stance doesn’t matter (but you can use Shimmering Blight or Bleeding Willow) I spin & Kill everything.

The Acolytes returning won't fix the disparity of Maiming Strike among the player base. The drop chances are just too low for how long you are actually able to farm for it so the reality is the majority of the player base will not get it regardless of how long they farm, especially considering the more people farming the less time you get.

Seymour Wang personally last time the acolytes showed, I farmed one of each rare mod without much issue. Getting an additional one for resale may be a bit harder

The best chance of getting it would be off of Violence for 4.04 percent drop chance. That means on average the player will have to farm him 25 times and going off the acolytes world hp last time, statistically not even half the player base will be able to farm the mod.

4:36 that's true, but what he didn't mention was that a new dagger stance, stinging thorn, has a built in finisher. It's dropped by vombalysts. A karyst is the best dagger for this as it has 10% crit chance as opposed to the usual 5%. This means you can proc berserker more. If you run it with no damage mods and only mods that increase attack speed (dispatch overdrive, berserker, primed fury) and mods for combo and blood rush to increase your crit chance for reliable berserker, you can melt any enemy regardless of level if you use the moving forward combo.

The Karyst is the "best dagger" if you don't count zaws, i have a zaw with lightweight parts and 2x attackpeed counterweight (i made it before i had access to 2x speed 1x crit) and it has 18% crit chance , and all it's other stats are higher as well, attackspeed is the most important thing with covert so going for the fastest zaw with crit would be the best option (this zaw is incredibly cheap to make might i add)

Don't forget the dual stat status mods from the spy missions. On their own each one is useful, though not game breaking, but together they can make some weapons so much better. They're also easier to get for newer players to get, as again most of them come from the various spy missions alongside covert lethality.

While I agree that balance is an extremely important aspect for any multilayer game in order for it to be successful. However, there is such a thing as too much balance. Might as well turn it into a linear game with a select few class choices. There is always going to be a metas and op play styles no matter what you do. Certain builds, mods, weapons and frames will out perform others. Instead of screaming about nerf hammers constantly I'd much rather see more viable options brought in line with others that are currently effective. Go ahead and nerf maiming strike. No we're left with one less option and everyone will go back to whatever "op/meta" build they were using before. Just play the game the way you want to play it and have fun. That's the entire point. Diversity doesn't come in the form of nerfing. This entire game needs a balance overhaul not just a single mod.

Another good mod for newer players to keep an eye out for is Drifting Contact. You did mention it in the video, but I'd say it's a pretty good all around melee mod that can really help make any melee weapon a bit more efficient if you've got an open slot in the build! Plus, even when fully upgraded it has a fairly low cost to it, so it's not like it requires a forma to fit into most builds.

Blood Rush and Condition Overload are core for melee builds. Covert Lethality is a must for daggers even if you don't want to use the oneshot side of it. The 2 others are optional. I'd definitely recommend looking for Primed Reach from Baro Ki'Teer as is it way more impactful than its regular version. Also, you don't have to focus on Primed Pressure Point. The difference is small, the investment is heavy, and the mod capacity will cry. Since Covert Lethality is a T3 Spy Reward, considering looking for the 60/60 heat and cold elementals is a good start. (Toxin are in lvl35+ Void.) By the way, High Voltage and Shell Shock, which are the rifle and shotgun electricity 60/60, are obtainable in the 3rd cache from Naeglar, Eris. Unlike Jolt and Voltaic Strike, pistol and melee, that can only be bought from Baro Ki'Teer (and other Tennos).

another honerable mention would have to be the duel status chance plus toxin damage mods that i cannot remember the name of as toxin leads to corrosive, gas, and viral; the most powerful elemental procs in the game, and it increases the chance for you to get those procs, if you arent running a pure crit build its practically mandatory

Let's not forget the essentials Primed Reach and Primed Point Strike, sold very often by good old Baro. The former can make any long range melees like polearms just ridiculous. Also I prefer running with Drifting Contact instead of Body Count since it cost less capacity, gives 40% status at the cost of two seconds on the combo duration (10 instead of 12).

u can farm blood rush in LUA spy mission ive obtained about 20 over time trying 2 farm covert lethality and sold um all for around 20-30p and got my self a fair share of greater lens .... in hinesight that plat culd been much better spent on frame and weapon slots then i woldent have had 2 sell frame that i cant get back like my mirage and chroma though i didnt know they where a 1 time deal as out side of forums and wiki it dosnt tell u this .... yay now 2 get back a chroma im looking at spending 300+ plat 2 buy him from the market -.-

Note for new players looking for special mods: If the mod says "On Blank: Effect" or "Blank raises with melee counter", its usuly an acolyte mod that can only be gotten from killing an acolyte.

A lesser known OP melee mod you failed to mention was Drifting Contact. Drifting Contact has the added bonus (If it was intended at all) to allow not just combo counter timers to go up for a very cheap price, but it also affects exaulted weapons like Valkyr's, Exaclibur's, and Wukong's Ultimate, which allows those frames to benefit from all of those other combo counter mods you mentioned.

If you run covert lethality inaros, getting the fastest attackspeed possible on a dagger (i think lightweight zaws with the 2x attackspeed counterweights are the fastest) makes it better just so you can kill more enemys in a shorter amount of time, the other stats on the dagger really don't matter

Dude, you forgot the most important mod of all, Primed Pressure Point/Pressure Point lol Every build (with CL daggers being an exception) has this in their melee. One mod that you forgot that is immensely important is Berserker and/or Primed Fury. Attack speed is crucial to every build, and primed fury helps so much with low crit weapons, while berserker makes crit weapons a meat slicer, since it increases both damage per second and status per second. I'd even say it's more important that Weeping Wounds, which has fallen out of favor recently. With that said, great vid tac.

This isn't really wise, because Primed Pressure point still gives you more damage boost than adding any other mod. Even a weapon with a riven mod with 300% damage boost can be increased by Primed Pressure Point more than any other mod, assuming you have the right build.

Berserker is great to Up a high hitting but slow weapon (like fargor prime) makes those weapons more fun to use

I feel like Drifting Contact and/or Body Count are worth putting here simply because both Weeping Wounds and Blood Rush are nearly worthless without one of the combo counter mods. You're unlikely to get past a 2x multiplier, which will seriously limit the effectiveness of Weeping Wounds or Blood Rush. Body count is another Acolyte mod, while Drifting Contact can be obtained from nightmare missions.

Nice list man. Completely agree on this list. Just add a few that I really like. Prime fury, prime reach, life strike with 1 point in it ( Never use more then that its a waste of focus and energy), prime pressure point (duh!), buzz kill/ jagged edge ( or any other base damage increase...aka slash, puncture so on). That's about all I can think of off the top of my head and not being in front of the game. Gl out there

imo, there are no essential mods, because you can play it however you like, like an unmodded melee run or something else, and if you want to make it strong then put in the strong mods.

The gladiator set mods with the right build without sacrificing damage are one of the greatest build specially with wukong or inaros

I haven't gotten lucky enough to get any of those mods yet so I'm using toxic strike with pressure point and some other status effect mods which seem to work well with Scindo Prime

The problem i have with maiming is the same i had with old ash: being forced to watch others playing. I dont like the nerf idea tho but i would love if it crit chance decreased with range

Weeping wounds, blood rush, drifting contact and cleaving whirlwind using spinning combo on my galatine p destroys everything not slash proc immune. I haven't found any other setup more powerful. Of course atterax maiming strike is always a contender because of range but still not better. All these with no riven though.

Primed Pressure Point is a must have mod for any melee weapon.

Condition Overload is kinda situational, being only good on specific weapons or builds. Maiming strike makes Atterax OP, outside of that, it is not god-like (still great though). Drifting Contact can replace Body count easily, has less drain and gives some nice status chance at the loss of 2 seconds. Weeping Wounds and Blood Rush are what I consider to be MANDATORY mods, since they make so many bad weapons good and good weapons great. Covert Lethality is now better with the Zaw daggers since ironically it is impossible to make a Zaw dagger weaker than any normal dagger in the game.

Melee doesn't need to be nerfed, secondaries and primaries need to be buffed, especially primary weapons they are the weakest weapon type due to weaker mods, not to mention they also have the least amount of strong weapons. With shotguns mainly being the powerhouses and rifles being pretty meh on a whole with only a few exceptions like the Soma .

Did you not mention the Blood rush + maiming stack on purpose? It's insane when u have a high crit dmg melee and u get 800% crit and u have like a 4x multiplier dealing about 32x crit damage? It's single handedly the only way to go if you want raw damage on a melee focus build

Hirudo with Brutal Tide, Pressure Point, Blood Rush, Body Count, Reach, Organ Shatter, Fury, Virulent Scourge, and Berserker is the best build for melee in Warframe. Change my mind.

The reason people are asking for Memeing Strike to be nerfed isn't because "they don't have it". It's insanely easy to get. They want it nerfed so theres some sort of point in playing other weapons/styles. Believe it or not, not all gamers think that cheesing the system is a desirable thing.
