Edit - a few things I forgot to point out in the video: firestorm and primed firestorm work for this augment, and scale additively with range mods. The explosion also isn't only blast damage, it just has 0% status chance and can't proc anything other than the guaranteed Impact (as far as I've tested at least). Also, you can abuse well of life to easily spam headshots on a single enemy.

you'd think a high damage no falloff AOE weapon would be meta, but it requires headshots so the monkey meta slaves refuse to use it cause it requires braincells

The problem is that the damage isn't that high compared to just running a weapons platform Ivara. Ensnare+Chakkhurr can also delete a room and any heavy units. If Ensnare is too slow, Coil Horizon or Airburst and a glaive or Contagion zaw also works as a room clearer. Taking advantage of Ivara's incredible damage buffs on a glaive also scales a lot better. I feel like if you're playing Ivara it's really easy and comfortable to do longer Survival runs, so you might as well make the most of her kit if you ever want to try a longer run.

as an ivara concentrated arrow main you cover so much detail that isn’t covered in most concentrated arrow builds, i see so many concentrated arrow builds that use elements which as you covered, don’t actually prick with the explosion! something i use for my build is internal bleeding and hunter munitions as you can double dip in slash procs that way

It's crazy because for a stealth frame she has 3+ completely unique mega DPS builds that can go way past Steel Path: - Conc.Arrow + Internal Bleeding (The explosion has innate impact procs but with critical delay it only gets the bow to exactly 2.5 firerate so unfortunately you don't get the bonus 70% bleed chance without wasting a mod slot on another -fr mod, also falls off eventually) - Navigator with Nataruk / Tenet Plasmor / Glaive with the augments giving a flat 50% base cc to give the weapons ludicrous number (especially with stuff like gas for leaving lingering clouds that deal millions of DPS but I guess people think it requires too much attention span to guide bullets to your enemies) - Multishot Artemis + Xata's Whisper (The original video by AznvasionPlays is called 32x Damage Artemis but it basically boils down to, if you have a single target you want killed ie. Demolysts you apply xata's void bullet succ to their head, shred armor with vastilok / sarpa shattering impact, go invis + drop an empowered dashwire to boost headshot / cd multipliers, ideally have galv chamber stacked to max, and then delete whatever enemy you want at whatever level, minus the infinite amount of spaghetti that you have to learn before doing it successfully) I just find it so funny that everyone sees Ivara as the 'spy only' stealth frame when the potential of her kit allows for so much creativity and flexibility to do whatever type of content you want, especially when all 3 of these builds are as fun as they are.

MAKE SURE to include that the AOE range mods DO affect the aoe of C arrow. allowing you to skimp out on a decent amount of range, or to go full monke and have a 25m aoe.

That's always been one of my biggest problems with Warframe; in other games, the process of rewarding players with a higher yield of results for something as simple as clicking accurately on the enemy's head feel like a direct progression, gives players a simple goal to master, and feels cathartic.. whereas in Warframe, while many of the weapons feel good to use, the best way to often use them/the best weapons in the game just feel like you are shooting in the vague direction of a room, and everything therein dies with next to no input from the player. Unless I'm relic farming, I have a hard time playing with other players, 'cause it feels like I'm getting to play less of the game due to someone spamming an "I win" button.

Hi, i ve just started playin warframe since a week or so and i love this game so far. I resonate a lot with this comment because, even if i m still extremly noob and low level, i already feel that the very initial feeling to move around like a ninja and hit some crazy trickshots is starting to falloff...and going into the direction of "spam a few abilities and nuke the room". I mean, it s funny too, but if possible i d love to invest in a build that , as you said, put you into an active gameplay, rewards you to hit precise shots. Did you discover anything about it yet? @@lucagenovese7207 Unfortunately not, friend. I would go so far as to say it's part of Warframe's DNA to be all about the almighty AoE. In Warframe, you largely don't have to trade damage for larger splash zones, and even if you did, enemy health bars are finite; eventually (so long as your stats are high enough) you'll over-match the enemies' effective HP, so anything more would just be overkill. Couple that with the sheer number of enemies at mid to late game, damage becomes a given (because everything deals damage), while speed and AoE becomes necessary.

It's a pity that there's no like such big boss/single target encounter, maybe that would bring more diversity to the table in terms of build. Well in this case i ll play around this AOE vibes, hopefully triggered by some kind of shots and cool weapons, better if a bow. @@lucagenovese7207 To be honest with you, I haven't dedicated a lot of time to Warframe as of late. I'm not particularly knowledgeable on the current state of the gameplay. Still, I would have to imagine builds centered on powerful guns right now would be status-based, (if not also AoE). I heard the devs are changing the way that armor works, but I haven't played since; that said, armor has always been so incredibly tough to chew through later in the game that Slash, Viral, and Corrosion have always been favored for helping to deal with particularly tanky enemies For more in-depth information on how status effects (and the like) work, I recommend a youtube channel called "TheKengineer"

I also didn't know that Eclipse would get 'snapshotted' in terms of the light level whenever you go invisible. Very useful information! I think I'll pop Eclipse over her Navigator for my all-round build which already uses Concentrated Arrow, anyway.

So I realise it's been well over a year since this was posted, but figured I'd point out something else that's kind of neat regarding this augment. If you put Archon Flow on Ivara, and have any Cold damage at all modded on the weapon, despite the fact that the explosion is doing pure Blast damage, it will still trigger Archon Flow's energy orbs if the explosion manages to kill anything. I believe it HAS to be the direct explosion doing the kill, not slash procs, but you'll probably get some fodder enemies that'll be dying in this manner, so the extra energy from Archon Flow can help out a good bit.

Btw, Zymos and Pax Seeker are both very powerful AoE tools which also reward headshots. Great for if you want that extra effort in your nevertheless effective nukes.

Fun fact: I dunno if this has changed since the release of the video but the explosion DOES use elemental mods. Due to slash not being that effective against shields, I have been running Infected Clip on the bow. The explosion does health damage directly to the foes, ignoring shields, and I do have Galvanized Aptitude on it as well for a pretty okay chance for toxin procs to work on killing any survivors of the explosion. I'm five forma deep on my artemis bow prime, four forma deep on my ivara prime, and have a collective 53.9% of my total play time on ivara/ivara prime, so I'm definitely an Ivara main. I never knew that quirk on prowl + eclipse though! I usually actually use Empower instead for a flat +50% permanent bonus on her bow activation, because I actually run a negative power strength build for the sake of being able to have max range + high duration/efficiency + augments. Between Empower, Zenurik's Hardened Wellspring, Molt Augmented, Molt Vigor, and the new Archon shards, I'm hitting stupid high perma-bonuses to the bow's damage without needing to finagle around Eclipse's quirks. In fact, I don't use Prowl on the build, because being able to pop a stealth bubble to remove status effects with the Empowered Quiver augment and use it for cover is far more serotonin-inducing. 😉

Multishot is still hugely helpful as it does create more arrows, it is just that the base amount of arrows goes from 7 to 1. Multishot still works like expected.

I just wish headshots were not required, because if you DON'T hit the head, you deal significantly less damage than her bow without the augment, since you only fire a single arrow. If it was hitscan i could see myself using it but weapons that have travel time are usually a no no for me now, too used to explosives and chaining weapons to hit enemy heads lol.

Internal Bleeding and Hunter Munitions can't proc at the same time, so while you can take HM it won't ever activate at the same time as IB, so I find it better to take something else.

This build... yes THIS BUILD is what I think AOE needs for warframe. You want to clear a room? Play better.... Get those hit shots. Stop hitting the ground and killing things. Stop doing one build and breeze through the game. Make more mods and arcanes that reward good gameplay and good aim or good comboing. Imagine how great it would be to melee some enemies then shoot an enemy, causing massive damage and keeping hte combo up would keep the damage up. Or having an abillity that makes other spots on enemies to become "HEADSHOTS" too...(Think like doing a synthesis mission and having to scan multiplue points but now that code turns those spots into headshot damage). The game would be more fun in my opinion.
