In long explanation, his first skill emerges massive crit chance buff (mine is like %680) that any build can't ever surpass. With these tennokai mods (especially Discipline's Merit since its first skill is casts heavy attack) will massively buff his damage and also protect his combo multiplier. This opppurtunity lets him to have benefit of combo based damage and crit damage buffs and also make them explode onto several other enemies with its curse skill and also exodia arcane

This system seems really good with the Duvuri weapons. As they have unique heavy attacks, the lot of them and they're easy enough to get. The double hit yellow crit arcane seems really good on Voruna specifically with how Shroud of Dynar works. Combined with her affinity with condition overload. It seems good on paper, but I reckon a DE has some funky way that makes it not work the way I'm thinking.

I was lucky and got a copy of melee duplicate in this first week and went ahead and test it with voruna: It does work (of course), since all the 1 does, is set your crit rate to 100%, if it isn't above that already. THAT being said, it is really underwhelming, when we look at the current melee meta with Wrathful Advance. Scaling crit tiers is much much more powerful, already on paper, when going for raw power. I can only see this arcane work on non WA builds and even then it most likely will not affect your heavy attacks, due to how the crit mods for melee work (x2 on heavy). Where I can see this maybe happen, is the next iteration of some zephyr tornado abuse build, but idk.

​​I tried this with zephyr not effective for tennokai heavy attacks since you need to heavy attack on floor and can't perform midaire (not sure about glaive) and attack on midair to activate your crit Passive. Even if you land a hit from midair it won't work tennokai buff at all , it has to be on the land to make it work. Haven't tried it with glaive prime. ​@@dshearwf

You can also use vulcan blitz jat kittag and spread the 60% of enemy's health as damage that scales infinitely, and for the weapons that don't force proc electricity you can use shock trooper to free up a mod slot on your weapon. There was also a bug with zaws where the spreading of status effects would proc exodia force like 80 times a second causing it to delete level cap in a single swing as long as you grouped enemies. That's been patched so you won't get the one shot but it still does descent damage and can clear out hordes of trash mobs pretty well.

Melee arcanes work on Exalteds if you equip them on regular melee weapons, so technically it works.

Im curious on your thoughts about Melee crescendo? I was thinking it could likely make the Ceramic dagger an even better stat stick since if you use its 2 iC passives, corrupt charge, & covert lethality you would be at a permanent 12x combo at only 9 finisher kills

Yes. Gara, Khora, Atlas, Inaros - all of them just use whatever on the currently equipped melee, including Arcanes. The only thing they can't use is Tennokai. (They can't trigger it, and they don't have "Heavy Attack" as a function) Meanwhile, in reverse, true Exalted Melee(Excal, Wukong,Valkyr, others) - those can use Tennokai, bit only the arcanes that apply on melee in general can affect those. And they can only trigger the arcanes that are not centered around the equipped melee weapon. (Finishers, Ability Casting, Shields, Melee Kills) Effects of Melee Yellow Cruts and Melee Statuses are still being studied on the Exalted Melee. If they work - good, if they don't - bad, but we can work around these.

Magnetic status needs one of 3 things to make it useful 1. The vortex like you said 2. Disabling enemy abilities so it has a similar effect as it does on warframes 3. Removing overguard As it stands it's by far the weakest elemental status and I'm surprised with all the updates to status effects it's remained unchanged for so long

wait duplicate only works on yellow crits? can some math wizard explain to me what scenario is it better than to just red crit? I have not seen a yellow crit in 2 years and don't wanna go back unless there is a good reason.

The way I see it, it doubles your total attack speed for specific builds that reach exactly 100% crit chance, so your swing damage and status applications get doubled. Is it genereally better than red crits? Nah.People are grossly overestimating this arcane imo.

Some real testing is required but if Influence works they way I think it does (reflecting every proc you make during the 3s on every ennemis) then it could be better than Exodia Force on your Kullervo infinite damage setup, mainly because you'll actually reach Quartic scaling with this step up, where the other one only reached cubic scaling (though the Exdia Force did have a VERY high number before the (ennemis number)^3 so it could still be better in practice) Whether it's the effect of the procs that are copied or if it's the procs themselves will change whether most of the damages are electric or gas, as gas procs can't go above 10 per enemies and the would create much more than 10 procs

The corrosive one can actually be better than duplicate one in some circumstances. Such as melee that easily meet and exceed 200% crit chance as the source of extra damage is just gravy and duplicate literally wouldn't procc. that said it's a genuinely good balancing act now. Do you reasonably get enough crit chance to want the corrosive damage arcane that is easy to procc with a good duration, or do you want to lower your crit overhead to be closer to 100%, build more raw damage and slot duplicate. For Riven enjoyers I could see both duplicate and corrosive getting a lot of mileage. Rivens boosting crit chance favoring the corrosive and rivens with lots of damage perks favoring duplicate

Damn i think you’re right. There is no “up to” limitation like most arcanes. Unfortunately armor works logarithmically which means you’ll never truly hit 100% dmg reduction. Even at 3k armor, the most you’ll get is around 91% dmg reduction

While blocking attacks it should also have a chance to activate Tennokai. It would be cool to also see Block+heavy get a tennokai AoE stun or something that deflects attacks for a short duration. It’s cool how you can block and parry, but as soon as you swing you’re no longer defending yourself. I wish Nikanas would get Iai QuickDraws on their heavies. Quick and clean. Tennokai with Slide+heavy should be a forward dash that acts as a gap closer with some AoE like a slash dash. But just goes through enemies instead of homing. Block+heavy in the air should give your weapon a projectile similar to exodia contagion. I don’t know if tennokai does it already but it should give increased or infinite follow through on all its attacks.

The Electric arcane, the way I see it, works best on weapons that already have innate Electricity and high status, such as the Prisma Ohma, Prova Vandal, Rumblejack, Secura Lecta, and Lich/Sister Weapons, and might work well with abilities that provide elemental buffs like Nourish. The Rumblejack seems especially interesting, in that it make me wonder if the damage from status proc'd from the arcane counts for Amalgam Argonak armor stripping. Some testing seems to be required now.

I feel like, for many of the arcanes, it comes down to interaction with pseudo/exalts. For just hitting stuff with your melee and popping demos with heavy attacks, they barely do anything. The greatest contender is Melee Crescendo. If the effect is permant like Ceramic's Gun+Blade perk, we can have x12 permanent on any melee permanent, which is ridicoulus. One of the biggest traps may be Melee Duplicate in the current Wrathful Advance meta. Scaling crit tiers is so much more powerful, than having basically 100% multishot on a 100% crit weapon. This arcane also rapidly loses damage and value with every tiny % over 100% chance, the most optimal user actually being Voruna with her Shroud setting your crit to flat 100% if you're below 100%. This problem becomes much worse with how crit mods on melees work, namely having a x2 effect on heavy attack, making the arcane pretty much only work on swinging around poopy yellow light attacks.

Finally someone with a brain, holy smokes. I can't believe how many people think hitting twice with yellow crits is the most insane powerful thing from the update, ESPECIALLY weird coming from kyaii. Don't get me wrong, it can be good in certain setups if you don't deviate too much from exactly 100% crit chance, but it's NOT "melee attacks hit twice" from Duviri. It just isn't.

Can someone please help? I got the melee upgrade segment after completing the whispers in the walls quest and installed it, but it didn't unlock any of my exilus mod slots. Did I do something wrong? Did I miss a step somewhere?
