Warframe: How to play Nidus 2019

hey iflynn great vid, but as a nidus main i would like to add somethings to your straight forward strength build and spice up his gameplan. 1) rage / hunter pairs very well with nidus to get some energy in almost all situations - you will never run out of it anymore. so you can go for negativ efficeny (like you did) and face tank the normal content 2) the augment for your 1, which increases your CRIT, by 120 % if you hit 4 or more targets with virulence is just amazing (and you should always aim for that anyways). this alone can take a bunch of weapons to a hole new level with red crits, thus making a focus on pure powerstrenght on nidus pretty much obsolet, since you can go for more utility and focus on building stacks, heal and cc with some range and duration. 3) on long(er) endurance runs, i personaly like the augment for his 4 as well - you can spam the ground and still get stacks - also more utility based then pure strength 4) "growing power" is nearly a must on nidus, since your larva makes it fairly easy to hit a lot of enemies and a 100% status shotgun with gas will be your best friend (or redeemer), this just makes your heal even stronger 5) i never aim on 100 stacks in the first place, play it more situational and don't hold back on his 4. just make sure you have enough stacks for revive and enough enemies for replenishment. 6) pick the right targets for your link. all high priority targets like heavy's and ancients are a pretty good choice. or just link your saryn and let her overkill everyhting overall i would recommend to go with something around 200 strength, 150 range and somewhat duration

I don't understand why anyone would go with less than 235% range on nidus... The build that I find works best with literally everything - even 4 hour fissure survivals - is corrosive projection, hunter adrenaline, blind rage, umbral mods, adaptation, overextended and stretch... I'm working to get my second umbral forma to fit on speed drift.

@@BradleyGibbs cuz 235% range is pretty map dependant i would say. larva tends to bug with too much range in close quarters for some reasons. Furthermore i tend to go for "decent" range cuz its much more reliant to CC the closest enemies and not having larva to just pull in some distant enemies while leaving those next to you standing - BUT personal preference in the end.

@@aK1baby Excuse me? No, high range isn't map dependent... Literally all 4 abilities benefit from it, with lava (grab range) and ravenous (maggot explosion range) getting the most. And lava grabs EVERYTHING within range, it doesn't grab random ones in the distance leaving those closer. It does, however, work on line of sight; if a closer enemy was entirely behind cover but the further one was not, then yes, the scenario you described may occur. But that would happen regardless, making your low range argument moot and irrelevant, hinging on a false strawman. I've got like 200 in game hours as Nidus and he is my most played Warframe, I know what I'm talking about 😉 But sure, personal preference.

For quick or lower level missions just use a noodle boy build...forget stacks and power strength...just go for range and energy...grab everything on the map and blow up the spaghetti ball...good fun and you don’t need to worry about stacks

U can hold ur 1 and see the maggots, u can wait for them to gather around and i dont think that its the smartest to use ur 4th at 100 stacks its better at early cuz each enemy that the maggot damages goes to stacks so its better for leveling stacks

Having your 4 up early on helps get stacks Extremely fast due to every enemy the maggots hit with there exploding gives a part of a stack so you want it up all the time

Quick tip : If U wanna play Nidus with the Hema and U are using his 1 a lot, try the crit mod with a crit-bleed build it is just melting away lvl 120 heavy goons ^^ Also great videos man ! Hoping to see Nova soon so keep up the good work !!

Hunter munitions is ideal on a weapon with crit chance near to or over 100% after mods, with 70% being very tentative. And that's not all, you also want higher base damage... So it doesn't work too well on the amprex, even though the crit chance is good. Test it out 😉

Redeemer and redeemer prime synergize well with nidus. If you get the teaming virulence augment. You can larva all a group of enemies(bullet sponges ones like your gunners.) Stomp once to get Bout 300to 500 bonus crit chance. Then use the one hit hold combo to blast redeemed shotgun to obliterate the whole group.

My Nidus has 150 energy. Hunter Adrenaline 45+ energy when your hit. Better than rage. 1560 health I would like to bring he's str up but I don't want to one shot adds with my first ability. I main nidus and inaros.. I believe wukong is gonna be my 3rd fav

So i play nidus like alot mostly solo . I have 2 issues with u build cuz i used something like it before it falls off . Solo of course corrosive projection is useless .2nd blind rage works for ur 1 dmg but the dmg dont scale that much its better to use melee build cuz the damge of co scale way higher u only need intenseify to get max dmg reduction .. so at the end remove corrosive add steel charge for melee Build and solo . Remove blind rage add flow or more range or rage and yea use pox ^^

A Blind Rage with 2 from the top might be better than a Streamline that isn't fully ranked. Also, I think maybe Hunter Adrenaline, rather than Augur Secrets, just to keep energy up a little. I don't play Nidus too much, but I'd be tempted to put an Umbral Forma on him & slot in Power Drift.

Errrrrem seems really counter intuitive not to use your 4th until you have 100 stacks. You know popping maggots yielded from your 4th increases the rate the counter goes up exponentially. Yes I agree your tactic is ideal for low level, but you're testing on high level enemies, these guys are sponges at first so building 100 stacks at higher levels is even easier when using your 4th alongside your 2 and 1. Pro tip, hold down your 1st ability. This will highlight clearly all of the maggots being generated from your 4th. Cast your 2nd over your 4th ground patch to stack people above the maggots. Using the hold feature on your first to aim towards highlighted maggots. Pop all the maggot and start stacking damage/stacks with your first. The maggots popping will shoot you up to 100 doing this a couple times with lvl100+ enemies. Great video. But never neglect those maggots. Also any outside maggots from either pathocyst or the nidus puppy doesn't actually count towards nidus's stacks to 100. So take that in mind when pairing together (still works good in tandem though.)
