I just wanted to thank you for fixing harrow for me. This build isn't just for gas nuking, but to me provides multiple avenues to enhance his kit, replacing his lackluster 1st ability.. the gas procs provide continuous overshields, while ensnare provides the crowd control his 1 was supposed to provide and let's you focus on weapons, if you so desire. Thanks for the inspirations!

Hello there! First comment ever on one of your video! AWESOME! I dont play Harrow and i alrdy got a lot of Build for Hyldrn BUT this whole idea made me recyle my Excalibur! I Use the Dagger ofc and put ensnare on my Excal, using the Blind to get Stealth Multiplier and the Radial Javelin Augment to have a buff(which according to wiki double dips too). It absolutely wracks havoc! Many thanks for sparking up this idea!

Yep I was shown that by someone else a few hours after the upload a few days ago. Was interesting looking at it. I imagine it would still be extremely strong even after the gas nerfs, so long as you use ensnare or larva.

@@Aznvasions Mirage 1 + 3 allows a wider range with the clones also having a dagger. I use the Karyst prime because of innate toxin only taking 1 mod slot to build gas, and Mirage’s 3 grants 95% DR on most of Deimos, so no need for overshield building. Cheers!

This is actually a really good synergy. But outside of this very specific setup, it sadly still doesn't fix the problem of Gas being a poor damage type. Hopefully DE will revisit Gas damage at some point to make it good regardless of what loadout you use.

It literally just needs two things. 1) Gas needs to not cap at 10 2) Gas needs to scale with both heat and toxin mods, even if it's at 50% rate.

Would also be nice if gas could give the status over to others around them, like Ember's 4. This way you have to only proc gas on one enemy to later have the whole room full of tiny clouds. Imagine the damage on this build with that mechanic.

That was so interesting! Thought I could tie AoE armor removal of Gas to my damage rework post of the forums, but giving it a second though, this isn't actually any type of status/damage that makes it, it's just damage with a special mod! I find it a bit sad we have to run some weapons as stat-sticks for certain abilities or other weapons, as by themselves said weapons (the ones acting as stat sticks) are worthless... With the exception of Daikyu or Javlok. Welp, nothing that is up to us sadly, keep these extravagant videos coming Azn :d

They need to allow gas clouds merge into bigger clouds that stack the damage. Have the cloud dissipate based on stacks reduction per second that hasn't been added into for 5 seconds. This can allow gas to be used as a defensive barrier and likely reduce havoc to fps. If they allow gas clouds of multiple players to merge then have the higher damage cloud absorb the lesser. This could lead to synergies of powerful slow procing weapons with fast high proc weapons to make powerful clouds.

Liking this combo- I had tried Argonak-dagger armor strip with a toxin/slash Karyst Prime with some success, but gas works way better! I also hadn't appreciated just how good Rakta Dark Dagger is for survivability now that shield gating exists. One thing I've tried is running this with a high duration Lavos build to take advantage of lingering Gas clouds. It certainly works, and managing the 10s cooldown on Ensnare is interesting. However, I'm not sure how it competes with Harrow's crit and speed buffs or Hildryn's ability to get shields back before her shield gate runs out, as I haven't tried them yet. It does provide decent status immunity though, although I wasn't using Epitaph and didn't need it as badly. Great stuff as always!

Cheers! Glad you found the builds interesting. Lingering gas clouds are pretty lethal. I imagine on Karyst with the free slot Lasting Sting + duration lavos you could get some really nasty 20s+ gas stripping clouds all over the place. A nasty present at the start of any tile entrance for spawns for sure LOL Lavos did cross my mind at some point, but I felt that once I thought of Harrow, I hadn't done anything with him in literally forever and chose to include him instead. Hildryn was because of the unique interaction of this allowing her to ignore toxin bypassing shields completely and effectively make her invincible so long as you keep killing.

I have a nutty rakta dark dagger riven. Never even thought about using it this way. Imma test out a really high duration lavos with this setup, just leaving armor strip clouds all over the place for like 20+ seconds sounds like a fun time.

Yep, one of the reasons why Shattering impact can be so good, albeit situational. One of the best ways to deal with elites/bosses/sisters/liches/demos, not the most convenient, while functional, to deal with normal mobs (purely because of spawn density of normal mobs).

Took rakta for a different synergy but soon realized it can be good for multiple combos. I've been using shattering & gas combo on my plague zaws.Gas can go around the bubble & kill a nullifier.Then again,gas can buff CD which is easily tested with zephyr's vortex & gas based primary/secondary weapons.For the synergy in this video however I'd point out few other frames like Lavos,Loki,Oberon BCS they spread radiation with ease.I've got 1,1k+ over shields on Lavos & over 600 on Grendel.

Don't dots proc the armor strip? I saw a similar harrow build but they used electric cause it's a dot effect that has a tesla chan so it strips the armor from several enemies with just one electric proc. But I am not sure.

It does proc, I was showed a video by Courageous Boss a few hours ago that apparently covered a similar concept previously. I picked Gas because it continues persist as an aoe object to strip even after the enemy it proc'd on dies, whereas Elec loses the chain DoT potential once the enemy dies. Both are extremely strong from what I see, but I just find Gas more consistent, as sometimes Elec will leave the weird habit of one or two enemies alive when the bunch up of enemies didn't' include enough. Basically, electric chains better the more you have of them, and is extremely reliant on having more enemies because you lose strip potential as enemies die/gathered less. Gas only cares about how many you gathered at the start. Also I just really wanted to make a Gas video lol.

I use karyst prime with only the 90% heat mod because of base toxin and replace that mod slot for lasting sting that way the whole tile set is an armor strip zone

That's pog. Lasting Sting honestly should be the baseline status duration mod for all weapon types. I'm annoyed at pistols and rifles only getting 30%.

This synergy is old, but good. It also works with exodia contagion, which would be why you’d want to run it. However, since the gas rework, armor needs to be removed faster. The idea was to use wisp and invis contagion to gas proc crowds and kill them with gas dot which each ticking removing armor, but gas is so bad now this barely works. Your play aggressively removes all armor, making the synergy viable again.

Yea I was recently showed the version Xandy originally came up with. That thing looks dangerous af. Shame that Gas got gutted, but I can only imagine how strong it would still be then. Of course, that setup would still work now, with just a grouping build. But we have Helminth now for damage buffs too and I wonder if an Eclipse'd crit contagion would just outright kill faster...

This setups also works well with Nidus + Karyst Prime, saving some toxin slot. It's quite tanky, thx to parasite link, additional crowd control from maggots. Personally I trust nidus' cheat death than shield gating lol

Just add the Saxum mod set and everything goes boom. haven't tested to be sure but if it operates like "Vulcan Blitz" then condition overload, viral stealth and smite all stack to make a limitless chain reaction.

Saw argornak and gas nuke title, already knew its rakta dark dagger build. I use electricity, save one mod from gas element, crit even dmg isnt important in this build, amalgam shatter impact with gas or electric proc 6 times for each mob per instance/hit. can one shot strip all armor if you ensnare alot of them together. And rakta dark dagger shield buff also synergy with empower blade aura as well, this is most powerful heavy attack in the game, you do need heavy attack efficiency on the riven though. Fun build, but not that consistent in sp. This build only shine in very very high level, like 1000+ in sp when strip armor is more important than dmg.

Definitely a fun one. I do find it can run into KPS problems when spawns aren't as nice due to the extra downtime to casting Ensnare or Larva, and that I have to play extra aggressive to get the most out of it and keep up. I just wish LS wasn't such an annoying thing in Survival. I could also just test in disruption, but the spawn rates still aren't the same.

@@Aznvasions disruption, you may run into status immune or dispel demolyst. Not just this build, in general, all melee had KPS issue comparing to AoE guns, dig around contagion build lately, fun build, but the KPS is even worse than this build.

I know I'm really late to the party here. but mostly asking for a friend who tried to make your build. But is missing the really Late Game stuff. How would you make this thing survive without Prime Surefooted? Saw my friend in arbitration get grabbed and insta killed 9 times.... in 30 minutes. I know it might be cause the team kills too quickly. but does the build need to hit 20+ targets to use the shield gateing well? @AznvasionsPlays

Don't need to hit 20+ targets, just need to get kills. The damage inflicted scales into what gives shield. So you should be able to top up usually. Without PSF, my best recommendation is always Handspring. Not sure what grabbed, but if it's Toxin Ancients, that's kinda just their thing and the bane of our lives for anyone that runs Void tbh, and the main reason most people I know avoid Infested or Void for Arbis. Their grab does Toxin damage and directly bypasses shield gating. Hildryn with overshields can survive this, but basically all other frames will get clapped unless you have quite high DR up on health.

Have you ever tried using magus overload with sonething like larva or ensnare? it stands robotic enemies for 3 seconds, which the discharge and deal 80% of their max health as electric damage. I don’t know if it works as I don’t own one, but it could be noice if it does

It's too situational because it requires robotics, which can have a whole mixed bag. Also not enough elec procs. Could probably do a super niche build with Sickening Pulse, but you are once again left up to RNG spawns of robotic enemies to make up enough of a group you're killing.

slash still works, but for setups focused around grouping, electricity can do enough damage to outpace slash. It's entirely dependent on the setup. This particular case is a special one for Gas as well. Normally Electricity will outpace Gas because better scaling, except when you can strip all the armor off, scaling no longer matters, just how fast you can strip armor and evenly apply damage, which Gas is better at than elec (even though elec hits harder, it sucks against single targets).

The problem is toxin base, you need a aoe element (gas or electricity works), can chain or group proc for this build to work effecticely.

Works extremely well. Saves a modslot for Lasting Sting, for 13s gas cloud instead of 6s. Also, higher damage, if that actually matters.

@@Aznvasions Quick update on this note : I did end up trying out an Argonak+ Karyst Prime setup, (same mods but I dropped the bane for berserker, personal preference; Maxed Lasting Sting replacing the primed toxin mod) in a steel path grineer survival. Turns out the best strategy is just going back and forth in a corridor spamming E. Acolytes get deleted because they chase after you while you pile up gaz infected grineer corpses in your way. 10/10 would recommend on any frame that has high armor & hp with any form of immunity against slash procs (be it augments, passives or the arcane that prevents said procs, hell even rapid resilience isn't that bad)

Quick question how much stacks would you need to one shot shields and limbs with raplak and magus melt

I have no idea. I don't run Melt much, if at all. But you typically only need about 3-4x more VS than required to break shield, to break both shield and limb with melt. Number of volt shields stacked also affects. Each volt shield means you need about 1.1x less VS.

toxic lash + xata's whisper count as an effective +1 multishot, and allows the argonak mod to strip faster, contagion cloud does not work with the mod/gain the armour strip properties
