Valk's not necessarily angry, she's hysterical and vengeful. She wants revenge on the people that modified and tormented her, but that torment is an ever-present factor in her mind. She basically has PTSD.

If anything, Valkyr was always a psychopath having PMS, and there should be no difference in behavior between Prime and regular, with 'Gersemi' being what regular Valkyr looked like before Alad skinned her alive. That's the only way it makes sense in my head.

My takeaway post-Sacrifice is that all Warframes were tortured and experimented upon. The difference is just, which aspects of the experimentation became the most dominant. The steel skin? The infested flesh? The mind, breaking into dissociative and mocking joy, or in this case, rage at the injustice and betrayal of her situation. Valkyr was always a victim driven by revenge. When Alad V captured her, he made her relive a trauma that was already a theme in her life. He didn't make her who she is. He just reopened old wounds. I'm not super clear on where Prime frames fit in the lore, but the original Valkyr during the Old War was probably Gersemi. Then she got skinned and used for spare parts by Alad V, and like any other frame, somewhere along the line she gets Primed.

I have played 600 hours of warframe and 500 hours of that is with Valkyr. I love her not only because she looks badass cute and very very terryfying at the same time, and because she has nice abilities, but beacause of her backstory. I cantimagine the pain she went through, and altough she will never be the same, at least there was one person who didnt think that she is nothing more than an experiment, a monster, and that is the tenno whi is controlling her. I mean i could imagine the tenno anchoring her, because otherwise she would completly loose it. They say that the tenno take away the warfarme's pain, well that is exceptionally true with Valkyr.

What about Valkyr's missing ability? Rip Line is not her true ability but what she replaced the ability after it was stolen by the Corpus. She turn the bonds on her arms they put on her to keep her in place as weapon against them. Not unlike how escaped prisoners and slaves would use the chains around their hands and feet as weapons until they are able to remove them. DE never told us what that ability was or what it might have been. It is why to this day I'm kind of sad about Valkyr Prime because it messes up the lore. Personally, I like to think that Valkyr's stolen ability was something of being able to pick out the souls of the dead as use them to add to her power. Or that was a shield or buff to shields because basically a lot of people also view Valkyrie as a Shield-maiden.

After the sacrifice, it's safe to say that the primes are actually copies of original designs, or umbras, made by the orokin. Just another orokin lie. However, that would mean that there can be no valkyr umbra, it would have to be gersemi umbra, the frame that came before.

Cancerous Hit! Spoilers, obviously... The Sacrifice just shows Ballas specifically torturing a single Dax he had a grudge against, and that turned him into umbra. It would make no sense for Umbra to be the original Excalibur because the whole reason Umbra is created is because the old Dax discovered that Ballas was planning to betray the Orokin and tried to expose him.

The problem I have with this is Valkyre prime kinda ruins it. We learn from her Deluxe skin how her original version looked before she was captured by Alad V, but the Valkyre prime just looks like the prime version of regular Valkyre, after she was captured. It kinda lack luster in the feel of her backstory.

It's not so much that the story is hard to track as that it just doesn't make any sense. Valkyr was released a long time before they started having actual story quests like the second dream. I don't think they knew what they would do back then. The lore just works a lot better overall if you pretend primes don't exist.

Well all the Original warframes were once people. Any warframe we have in-game are basically clones we craft using the foundry(for the mechanical parts) and the helminth(for the body itself).

Valkyr is originally in Gersemi form (skin), captured and went through yada yada yada, afterwards she’s as you see the non primed variant of Valkyr today. But primes are built from the orokin, yes. the sacrifice quest clarified that all the warframes we humans that have been infected with the virus. so they grew the infested tissue and it hardened upon their skin. however, they are still human beneath.
