if havnt played yet. over the years they try to improve new player experience. right now as you go through planets there is a checkpoint where before you head to next one you need to complete certain mission areas, get items and such. those they dont explain to much though. alot of ppl have told new players its recommended to have the warframe wiki up to know where to grab weapons and resources from. on business model yes there is items inside you can buy with cash but every item in there literally you can play for free without spending money if you want by grinding for them which most dont take that long. in game currency is platinum which ppl in trade chat they will give platinum for items they want like prime parts. during events when a certain seller (forgot his name) comes this is where trade chat gets active since that seller has a unique resource and only way to get it is sell prime parts to him. so in trade you would have ppl doing bulk buy prime parts and will give large plat if you give alot you dont need and they take those ot the seller to get the resource for unique stuff. on goal its up to you. you want to gain as many items you want them farm for them. wanna progress through storyline there is that or get many cosmetics for fashion frame showing off then there is that. there isnt really a set goal for you from get go besides the basic stuff. after its your call and pace.

Unfortunately this cinematic has very little reality with the actual game. People are hyping it up but the graphics are not as good as that, there is no cinematics like this, and there are no epic battles like this. it's people spamming abilities with flashing and particle effects on screen. If you want a more accurate representation of videos you would need to watch official videos that showcase new characters that come out that use the game engine.

So, while the game itself, of course, doesn't look quite as good as in this trailer (it still looks great and the graphics are going to receive a big time improvement on top of that in the near future), what you have seen here is flatout underselling Warframe. Yes, you read that right, it's UNDERselling the game. You see, you have only been shown the three starter warframes in action (Excalibur, Mag and Volt in order of their appearance in the trailer) in addition to only a portion of the starting equipment (the Braton, an assault rifle, and the Lato, a pistol, were both missing) and a single in-game enemy faction (those guys, Excal was fighting against, which were the Grineer), all of which only took place on Earth. In reality, you can explore the whole solar system (known as the Origin system in-game), including an area known as the void (effectively hyperspace, but some ancient people, who also constructed the warframes managed to put glamorous buildings inside) and fight five different enemy factions (Grineer, Corpus, Infested, Orokin and Sentients), using an arsenal of over a hundred different weapons (and by different, I mean DIFFERENT, like almost every single one of them feels unique) while operating one of over 40 warframes, which all come with their own playstyle, four different active abilities and a passive for each of them. As for the action on screen? That is mostly also underwhelming compared to what you can actually do in the game. Excalibur going up against those Grineer? He would have annihilated the whole thing in about 5 seconds without even having to worry about taking cover. Blocking all the bullets from an machine gun getting fired at you from close range? That could have been a whole army of gunners and still not a single shot would have gotten through. A single arrow taking that whole ship out of the sky? Hand that bow over to Volt, let him run around a bunch, put up a shield in front of him, fire an arrow through that and that is indeed possible. Though, of course they did do some exaggeration. Mag cannot catch and redirect bullets (allthough there might be an augment coming, that would make that possible), Excal's shockwave (which is a slam attack with his exalted blade) does not have that much of a range and you can't pet your Kubrow (Excal's beasty friend) in the middle of a mission. I actually have some more to critique about this cinematic: Volt wouldn't have shocked just those few guys with his 1, he would have shocked half of that enemy army with his 4. Also, him making that final shot would have actually made more logical sense, because his passive gradually charges electricity, as he moves on the ground, which is then transferred into a pretty substantial damage increase towards his next attack (in this case an arrow, sparking with electricity). Mag should have been using the Braton and Lato, just to have all the starter weapons in the trailer and because she is actually more effective, if she has a weapon to use and they should have used the iconic bullet jump more obviously (its a spiralling jump that somehow absolutely launches the warframe over a very long distance). Overall this cinematic certainly looked good, though it seems rather confusing, considering the context of the new player experience, and the cinematography was also great. However, they did not fully show off, what a new player can expect to be possible and the choreography had a bunch of room for improvement - well, at least it isn't on the level of the one in the animations by DE (Digital Extremes, the developers of Warframe), who have somehow managed to lose track of the dynamic nature of their game and become worse at the choreography over time, not better. Anyways, go ahead and play Warframe. It's free, it's awesome and it's a something you can easily put hundreds if not thousands of hours into without getting bored, so it's especially great for the current circumstances.

I've played Warframe for almost 10 years now. Just about everything you see in the cinematic you can do in game, or even fancier that they've oddly played down a bit. Like how Volt can electrify a whole room, or like how Excalibur has the ability to stab everything in the area with freaking energy swords all at the same time! It's not them overplaying it for a trailer, it's them showing what you can expect from gameplay if you actually play it! I love it! :)

I'd say this cinematic is probably the most realistic out of all other game cinematics in terms of authenticity and how faithful to the game it is. Around 80% of the stuff in the trailer are authentic. Some argue the game itself is better than the cinematic in terms of action and entertainment. Not a lot of games can boast about being that fun. Most games keep you nerfed just enough to make the game a grind. Digital Extremes, decided to see how it would be received if there wasn't any nerfing like that going on. It takes a little getting used to, but you can do this stuff in game. To me it was a game design that really works. I love Warframe and have found it to be one of the most enjoyable works of art since Dark Souls. It can be just a face value looter shooter or you can delve deep into the clever lore and learn that there is alot under the surface in regards to story. Plus the studio DE is outrageously small in employee number compared to some of these tyrannical sized game companies, yet DE actually gives a S*** about the players. They also stay true to their roots and vision. It's a treasure of a game. This is the only game in the past decade that I've played where you get that unique moment when you and your whole squad are just randoms put together, then over the course of one mission just click with your choices and end up grinding out relic runs and Open world for 10-12hrs without realizing it.

The whole point of these types of trailers are more to tell the story of the game then the actual gameplay. That's why there are "Gameplay" Trailers and then "Cinematic" Trailers. So everything you saw in the Trailer can be done ingame, As excalibur Creating a Blade of pure Energy slashing enemies, Crush an army with a single Gesture as Mag, or be the fastest (not as fast as Gauss), Create a Shield out of thin Air and Schock everything around you as Volt or many others you can find later ingame by Fighting and grinding. And the customization is pretty huge with a very large amounts of Automatic weaponery, Traditional Blades and Electric Whips, And the Story is also really good if you get bored of the Gameplay (which Thousands are cuz they have about 5000 Hours of playtime) The Developers are trying well to add new Content, and i am not too sure cuz this cinematic is supposed to be added ingame, either they try to sort out believers or they are just bad at Marketing. Anyways as new Player you have loads of stuff to explore, and the game is 99% free to Play. Just have to trade your Lifetime on earth.

@@0_iAlmighty_0 Yea but with Gauss you can be a headbutt master! LOL. With your 2 active (armor) any wall you slam into from your 1 (super speed) near enemies creates a big AOE and they all die of slash damage (bleed effect). It makes running into walls a good thing :)

JOE is right, I've always been skeptical about the actual game/play when a company releases a cinematic trailer. BUT I use to play the original Warframe and it was awesome. Its fun and rewarding. You put the time in and you will be a ninja God. Also fyi, every single warframe and prime warframe and weapon can be earned in game. Dont believe any newbie kiddies that say you have to buu anything. I've bought skins off of their marketplace only as a gesture of gratitude. I felt like I was kind of stealing for how much the game gives to me for free. I wanted to show gratitude. But that's it. I now own every warframe in the game and most of the prime weapons and Warframes. 100% earned not bought. Shoot you can grind and get in game currency (platinum) by grinding and trading what you got. People use the currency (platinum) to buy the stuff you grind for, you then have in game platinum to buy what you want if you want anything. It's a good game guys. I don't bank a lot of games and their developers but these guys care about us first, then the game. Look them up.

The overall gameplay, combat, lore, graphics and design, sound, continuous improvement and new content is what makes this game truly amazing and each year it gets better and better. Well, you´re able to do almost everything that was in trailer, sure there are things that are impossible to do in game, but there is plenty of cool stuffs you can do in game that arent in trailer, some of them are way better than things you saw in trailer, and you have very very long quests in game, if you aren´t rushing it, then you can spend 3 hours in one quest, and they are almost like a movie, 50% of that quest is gameplay 50% cutscenes/cinematics. We currently have 4 big quests like that and 4 tiny ones + many quests that are in between.

There is a learning curve but if you find some good team mates you can combo with them like we saw towards the end. This does look better than the game but the game still looks good, and you can most definitely run up walls, catch bullets, cause massive explosions ect. You get to play how you want.

Playing Warframe for 4yrs+...this is pretty close to what it is. The powers displayed, are accurate, and those are the three starter frames. Calling em robots, would be wrong, since they're bio-mechanical, and the children that use them; essentially fuse their immortal essences with them. The children are hardly children; being eons old. It's way older than Anthem and Destiny.

The cinematics are actually slower than actual gameplay. It's fast and smooth af, still can't find a game that offers the same movement and fun that warframe offers. The RNG is just annoying sometimes.

Great game, the movement tech, move sets, and weapons are great. And the game adds complexity and nuance the more you play it. The only downside is the new player experience is not great, and that the story only picks up and starts getting amazing about 40-100 hours into the game.

the cinematic trailer is mostly to show us what is the vision they are (the developers) aspiring to achieve. it can also show us the game universe as if it existed and was real without bringing game play that would break that immersion.

This game is free Nobody can say it’s bad, if you do 1 you don’t understand it 2 you don’t like looter shooters 3 you don’t have friends that can help Warframe is setting the standard for looter shooter mmos. Every company tries to copy them, destiny tried to do something new and it’s down the toilet. The engagement from the devs, the daily log in rewards which gives you discounts on premium currency is amazing. You can make in game currency by selling frames and various items on the market place, no other company has done this and that Is why I will never hear anyone say anything bad about this game ✌🏼
