I've been using him with Nourish in place of his walls. The walls aren't that great, but watching rad procced enemies viral proc each other while shooting each other for extra viral damage is amusing, and lets me not have to worry about putting viral or radiation on any of his weapons, so I can prime enemies with even more status procs, and then go ham with my incarnan Angstrum that does more damage per status effect on a target. It gets really sparkly when the bouncing incarnan fireballs, the rad procs pulses the viral procs colors, the lasers from his 4, and the area of my Zenestar all going wild. makes Citrine jealous.

Qorvex's 4 has more in common with Volt's than Nova's or Wisps combined. Laser like Wisp's but everything else about it is exactly like Volt's, down to it being useless if you're dealing with like less than 5 enemies.

Qorvex...confuses me. His Pillars are a better Oberon Smite, his walls are a worse Caliban Sentient Wrath, his cock rocks is LITERALLY just the Helminth subsume that costs more energy to get the best out of it than just a simple recast, and the chest beam is fun I guess. Smite's strength nowadays is free radiation damage on weapons, like Nourish for Viral, so it'd probably better to compare Chyrinka Pillars to Hallowed Ground - the status immunity of which Disometric Guard shares without forcing people to stand in one specific location. Disometric Guard will tick up when enemies die with his rad procs, so technically you can use abilities to update it, but weapons fire also works, so you don't explicitly need to '[spend] more energy energy to get the best out of it', and it's worthwhile to note that it also covers allies in affinity range, preventing them from getting whacked by, as Sabuuchi mentioned - arson waves, energy leech puddles, toxin procs.

Two little details I find kinda clever, or in the latter's case just outright hilarious, about Qorvex, here: 1. When standing in the field of a Chyrinka Pillar, or when activating Disometric Guard, you can hear the faint play of a Geiger counter in the background 2. This mans's "roll" animation is just a straight-up football tackle. Ya got Xaku lunging forward while bits of them float off and reconnect, Gyre just sort of...disappearing for a moment, Wisp just sort of lashing at the air. Qorvex? He straight-up football tackles into the enemy like a Charger outta Left 4 Dead 2.

When testing around I didn’t like the pillar & shield gating approach, so I instead put ensnare from khora over his 1 and run minimum duration. The explosions from his 4 have massive fallout, soo proximity is king. Hugging enemies at acolytes and then melting them is great fun.

Love Qorvex, my only issue is I don't love his look, concrete frame also being radioactive frame just feels very disconnected from eachother tbh He is fun tho, like his abilities just feel satisfying to press, even the walls which aren't that great have such a satisfying hit sound

Concrete is one of the primary materials used to contain radioactive substances, including both active nuclear reactors, and the fuel and waste associated with such. Albrecht did something reasonable for a change by making the warframe with a nuclear core in his chest also be made out of something that's very good at containing that radiation.
