I'm listening to this just after Tennocon 2022, where Steve has announced he'll be moving on. Since Reb has apparently been running things behind the scenes for a while, it occurs to me that this scene might well have been the very last thing he wrote for Warframe. They knew all the way back in 2002 of a game that they wanted to make - and they just didn't have the resources to do it. So they poured their heart into the next best thing, and they worked for hire, and then they hit financial difficulties. And then they realised that was it - it had to be now, or never. And nobody wanted it. No publisher would back them. They were literally making people redundant as they tried to get it to that very first public release. The very first release had eight warframes, one tileset, and two enemy factions. As barebones as things could be, nowhere near what they'd hoped for. But they still had that dream. And they asked us to dream with them. And they never stopped chasing it. New warframes, new weapons, new factions, new tilesets, new systems, new stories, new characters, new worlds, new mysteries. Every month, something new, something to get excited about. Sharing successes, sharing failures, things going well, things going backwards. But they never stopped chasing. We learned there was more to the Lotus than she'd let on. We took our first steps beyond our frames. We learned of Margulis, and Ballas, and Teshin, and Hunhow. We lost the Lotus, and met Umbra and Natah and Erra. We strapped on archwings, boarded railjacks, saved the Solaris, slew a Queen and saw the rise of a King. So many stories - all building to the new war. To this choice. It took 20 years, but Steve finally made his dream real. He built the gameplay he wanted, told the story he wanted, and built the community he wanted. And in doing so he brought a studio back from the dead without ever taking the option of shitty monetisation which is such a plague in the videogame industry. All because he had a dream, and never stopped chasing it until it was real - until this moment. What a beautiful scene to end on.

In act two, I chose Drifter. Sure they weren't _us,_ but they _are_ us, the Operator. They were older, wiser, they helped jumpstart the uprising for the New War and in a way, I saw it as time for our Operator to... "grow up" in a sense. For this moment...I had to pick Natah. This was her true self, she wasn't Hunhow's tool, Mother's puppet, not Ballas' plaything. She wasn't any of that anymore, and though it pained me to I just felt in me she should-no, COULD-make a new start for herself, *as* herself. This war changed us all, and from here on out, we'll pick up the pieces and rebuild a new era for the Origin System. Keep on fighting, my fellow Tenno. ✨⛩

Honestly I loved this, It really sums up her's and our stories but I think it does not matter what we choose in the end, the use of "We are one" through this story sums it up perfectly - it is our operator coming to terms with the world around them and in a sense growing up themselves as for Lotus no matter what you pick she promises to protect or heal in some way shape or form show us she has also come to terms with her sides. No matter what anyone picks this mission was perfect

The Lotus is whom we first met, but she was a name without a face. Margulis was executed by The Seven for defending the Tenno. Natah was made in Margulis's image, in honor for her sacrifice. The dead will be respected as those whom came before, and look at you to carry the torch further. It's why I chose Natah, and why I'm hated by the New Loka

I grew up with Warframe. I think I first played it when I was 15. This scene, with Lotus sitting across of me, felt like both me and Warframe growing up. After those years of waiting for The Lotus to come back, I chose Natah. Because both of us have changed. And we don't always change into what we hoped we would. But that doesn't mean it's bad.

I just recently finished The New War after coming back to the game from a 3 year break. A little over 2 hours I was sitting on this screen, listening to this song as I tried to make up my mind. For me the choice came relatively easy. I chose Natah. She has spent practically all her life being what others wanted her to be, the Lotus was a tool for the Orokin while Margulis is what was most comfortable for the Tenno. I was not here when Warframe first came out, but I got here as fast as I could, even amidst my real-life troubles. I arrived shortly after you discovered Fortuna, when I was beginning to pull myself out of the mess I'd made for myself. While we waited anxiously for our railjacks to be completed, I looked into a job that paid a liveable wage. When I wasn't battling sentient destroyers with the killcodes you sent me, I was studying to become a pharmacy tech. I struggled to fix the damage I'd done to myself even as I joined in longing for the return of our space mom, and now in rejoicing as we finally bring her home. Someday soon I will have a home of my own. I'm going to meet the love of my life, find a career I enjoy, and start living a life I can be be proud of. And then you and I will meet on the front lines as we prepare to bring balance back to this system.

I cried the first time I finished the quest, and I continue to feel really emotional when I hear this music. But it's almost a tranquil sadness, like the musical equivalent of a childhood loved one telling you that it's okay to cry. DE is very good with that sort of thing when you step back and think about it. We have very, very few meaningful dialogue options or control over our Operator's actions. But I think that's intentional. The characters connect so personally to us as players because the themes of Warframe's story and the emotions behind them are universal, and every human being experiences them at some point in our lives in our own ways. The loss of a loved one like the Lotus and the fear and stress of being on your own for the first time; overcoming traumatic events like the Zariman and finding new strength in their wake. Fighting for what we believe in in a scary, broken world, and trying to find comfort and strength in the friends and family we have through good times and bad. That's what comes to my mind, at least. Also, I picked the Lotus initially but traded for platinum to unlock Natah and Margulis, I like the idea of the Lotus being identity fluid based on how she feels and what form might be the most useful, and I feel like that's loosely implied in the cutscene too!

This game is a phenomenal. It makes you live the game, the moments and the damn freaking choices you are facing! I love every second of this soundtrack. I just want to say "I'm a huge (warframe) fan", like, seriously... to the point where i cried when i first created my operator as the Lotus brought me back to my transference capsule. And since this game is so good, i cried a second time when i brought the Lotus back to her chrysallis. In the end, i chose Margulis, not for the chest but for putting a new start for the "Lotus". From my awakening as a Tenno; I had always viewed the Lotus with suspicion. I expected her to eventually betray us; and was vindicated when she finally did. I swore that given the chance I would slay her myself. At the very end of it all, however; I realized that much like myself and all Tenno: she too was a tool, a weapon being wielded by another. Like the Orokin did with the Tenno. She was still guilty, but not entirely. Thus I spared her, and instructed her to take on the role of Natah. Her true form. She will atone in her services to maintaining balance protecting the Origin system. No more lies of veil of shadows disguising who she was. She would do so as her true form. Now her path is hers...

THIS MOMENT, oh my God, the mirror scene of the very first cinematic quest is an amazing way of ending the Natah/Ballas storyline. And that whole section at 0:30, that keeps playing when you're making the final choise is so beautiful and peaceful. DE sound/music team shines brighter every update. I'm Moon all tha way, and choose Margulis at the end. I think it's really beautiful the idea of Natah taking the mantle of out adoptive Mother. It's crazy that from the outside, Warframe is just an action game with cool ""robots"" and space stuff, but have a super deep and emotional story. The quest have some stuff here and there, but this scene, at least for me, made the wait worth it. All I want now is Ordis' new body to roam the Orbiter like my pets xD

I found time enough to play this mission in one go, nothing is as close to perfection as this - We as the Operators have a moment of acceptance and growth able to move foward with our future and as for the 'Lotus' She herself although confused Is whole again, She has come to terms with all of her sides and we along side her will move forwards together in order to fight for and heal a system we were not originally powerful enough to protect alone - Keep fighting on Tenno

I choose Natah simply because Margulis was just Ballas's desire, Lotus was someone who really didn't fully understood who she was or where she came from, Natah felt more or less right to me, since operator "grew up" = had a huge change (lore wise) I thought that Natah should get one as well, therefore leaving the Lotus role behind and continue trying to understand who Natah really was and/or who should she become. Regardless, there's really no right or wrong, it's solely base on what sits well with you :)

Listening to this got me bawling while I tried to choose for half an hour, unlike other choices I couldn't just mindlessly choose the neutral one, Lotus/Natah/Margulis was making that choice and for once I felt indecisive. I think her change in helmet represents her new purpose, no longer a closed cocoon, she's fully bloomed, with all secrets unveiled, she's now free to decide who she will be from this point onward. I may have my gripes about Warframe, I may have my periods where I stop caring and disappear into the void for a long time, but playing The New War reminded me why I stuck around, despite my hours grinding for a Necramech, despite my complete inability to understand the mod system, despite all of that, this is most of all a game made by dreamers who many expected to fail but managed to, somehow, make Warframe the best it could be, and that to me is a lot more valuable. 1999 is the first time in Warframe where I'm part of the hype for an update, and while I may disappear when an inevitable content drought appears, I want to make those moments worth it.

Dude this ending made me cry when i saw my operator carrying Lotus, and i said "No way they did a mirrored version of the ending of the Second Dream" while crying. I chose the Lotus because for me, I wanted the best of her... Natah "died" and I erased that past, sorry Hunhow but... You wanted her to be free, don't you? Margulis died and i didn't want Margulis because of Ballas, or i just accepted that I will never bring Margulis back for just a person who looks just like her. This is why i choose Lotus. And I will say this too all the Tennos over there: "Never look behind, erased that past that is tormenting you, look in front of you, believe in the future, your future... Never give up Tenno, build that future that you wanted."

I know i am 2 years late for this, but i'm saying it anyways. Every time I listen to this soundtrack in warframe, I started to break down into tears. It's just one of those soundtracks that your loved one was finally returned home after a long time from abandonment. It's just my perspective about it.

Even now I still second guess whether I made the correct choice, or whether I should've chosen something else. At the time, so many voices were going through my head. So many conflicting ideas on what the right choice was. Just like her. In the end, I chose Margulis. The system has suffered enough. We have suffered enough. And she...has suffered enough. Even if Margulis is a lie, it felt like it was what she needed to be. A mother as she always wanted, Margulis was rife with her own pain. But Natah, only existing as a weapon. Lotus, existing as our guide. Margulis just wanted to be there for us, and I want the Lotus to be there too. Margulis feels like the happiest of her personas. I just hope that can be made a reality for her.

A beatiful song for a beatiful moment in warframe's story. I don't think there was a wrong choice in that moment, but I chose the Lotus because she was no longer the Lotus she once was; the Lotus that was being held captive by the memories of Margulis and Ballas. After all she went through, she had changed, she was a new Lotus. This time, born from the freedom Natah gave her, but conserving her love for the Tenno, just like Margulis would have wanted.

Man, i just had my best dream so far, i was in a full dive vr game, for honor style, then smite got jumbled into the mess, my team ended up winning, but then I spot something that resembles a lua cryopod, covered by sand, i make the connection that it's from warframe, a big gray and golden pad is next to it, i dust the sand off of it and kneel like the frame in the login screen, and out of nowhere this plays

I must be the only one who chose Margulis. The real person behind the mimic we call Lotus/Natah, who's life was cut short, she was a victim not only by the Orokin but the Sentients too. Her caring and loving nature is what made space-mom the mom, not the Natah part. We saw the Natah part and she was evil, as a sentient is. It's only the Margulis consciousness copy that kept that evil part of her suppressed. Lotus was a copy of Margulis, copy that immediately identified the evil and destructive part of Natah and buried it deep until we uncovered it and once we did, Natah broke free. Margulis is what space-mom truly is. Not Natah or Lotus. We fell in love because the purity and love of Margulis lived on in a synthetic body. There was only one choice. And very clear choice. The original, and only the original. Not the copy. Everything that made the copy aka Lotus good, was the Margulis part.
