You can "fool" hata-satya into giving you more damage per mag, by adding more magazine size. Tainted Mag or Primed Magazine Warp will give you over 100 extra rounds that benefit from a fully stacked hata-satya. If you think that's a waste of mod slots you could get a riven with magazine size.

You can also use Warframe Abilities such as Toxic Lash or Xata's Whisper that add an extra "Hit" with each bullet fired. This means if you had a magazine of 100, no extra multishot and landed all your hits, hata-satya will have considered you getting 200 hits for the purpose of the crit buff

While I'm not one to disagree with the Tenno belief that there's no kill like overkill I think it's worth noting that Multishot alone is sufficient at ensuring Hata-Satya works favorably for the vast bulk of any given clip, and that Toxic Lash/Xata's are just good in general even without their technical interaction with the augment. There's the 230% from fully stacked Galv Chamber, and Primary Frostbite adds 100% at max. That's at least 4 guaranteed hits per bullet, meaning that even without the help of Vigilante Arnaments (or a riven, I have a roll with an extra 100% MS) it only takes about 20 bullets out of 200 to catch up with critical delay when unloading into a single target. That's not even factoring in potential bonus triggers via punch-through, nor the simple fact that every bullet fired past that point is leaping ahead... On a rifle that can already unload the requisite number of bullets in less than 3 seconds without any help from Reinforced Bond, let alone other fire rate modifiers such as Wisp/Volt/etc. Also the incarnon mode is designed to do this naturally as well, it fires rounds that have such a ridiculous base multishot value (for still being effectively straight bullets rather than shotgun shells) that even if your mod/arcane stacks aren't up it will still activate Hata-Satya just as fast (if not faster) than the standard fire mode. Magazine size is absolutely a waste of time on this gun, no doubt about it.

Hata-Satya of course gets better the more multishot you have, the less shots it takes to max it, and the more of the magazine will be fully buffed.

It's busted with the Incarnon mode. Incarnon mode turns it into a sort of shotgun as it is. Add multishot mods and a 200 round capacity to that and you'll be at full stacked Hata-Satya in like 10 shots and for a long time since Incarnon mode also lowers fire rate. Also of course saves a slot because there's really no point adding another crit chance mod when you already have +500%. And as a little bonus, you're basically never out of Incarnon mode for longer than 3 seconds because getting headshots is stupid easy with the Soma.

Edit: just uploaded a quick 1 min video of a completely maxed out and optimized soma prime incarnon. The build in this vid is fun and will give you a perfectly usable weapon, but it’s nowhere near the weapons peak performance. I have almost 100 hours with Soma incarnon and it is by far the most underrated incarnon imo, and people just seem to not really realize how to build it. I was able to EASILY use only Soma prime to reach level cap and kill level cap demolishers. No primer, no weapon buff ability, no companion buffs. I can kill acolytes of any level and archons in under 3-4 secs. The only external buff in the entire build is arcane avenger. If people want to know how to build it I can put the build here, but it is so absurdly strong. I have tested every evolution with a multitude of builds and I have a perfect god roll riven. Edit: when I say underrated, I obviously don’t mean it’s the best weapon in the game. I mean that many people consider it a C tier incarnon and that’s just not the case when built correctly. It’s obviously no burston or torid, but it’s easily an A tier incarnon and feels better to me than any others.

Its a single target weapon that has to compete with weapons that are aoe and also strong sin single target like the latron incarnon or torid incarnon or even lex incarnon. The punchthrough helps but requires grouping to make use of it effectively. I dont understand the logic behind changing the weapon to crit damage heavy and locking the base cc on the incarnon mode at 10%. That kills the hunter munitions and requires outside crit buffs to make use of the big crit damage. Burston incarnon feels like a better soma incarnon lol@@copeharder6701

@@noahboddie3482 You're aware that the gun turns into a shotgun in Incarnon form right? It gets 8 base multishot, which more than makes up for the lost CC and fire rate. With a 4x multiplier crits are still *more* than worth it. Hata-Satya is stupid easy to build up in Incarnon form too, and the slower fire rate makes it last longer too. Give it another shot and I'm sure you'll find it's much better than you think.

I've done quite a bit of testing with the soma incarnon, and there are two key things that a lot of people miss. The first is that hata satya is always best for crit chance as it stacks up with multishot and punch through, so getting it fully stacked in incarnon form is very easy. The second is that fresh havoc is the best last evolution damage wise as it increases base damage by 12 after reloading from empty twice (it stays stacked for the entirety of the mission so no need to replenish or always reload from empty). Soma is an underrated incarnon imo.

Love the Soma. Initially thought the Incarnon was a bit underwhelming, but then they did make some adjustments later on. I know for many people, even with those adjustments and buffs, its still underwhelming, but I enjoy it more now, even if I still wish, it got buffed a little bit more. Hata Satya, can get some extra help with a Riven, depending on which mode you prefer or prioritise. Like a Magazine increase can help with the regular mode, and more multishot can help with Incarnon form. I personally tend to think the Incarnon form needs more help in making it feel "good" which is subjective, but yeah. I mostly wanted to comment though, because I got this in Duviri the other day, and with certain Decrees, it was so much silly fun. The new Decree for Magazine increase, and the faster fire rate one? With my Riven? Obviously Decrees can make any weapon silly, but yeah. I do think its a little underrated, but I also understand some peoples attitudes. Some Incarnon weapons went from being some of the worst weapons to the best types, so a moderately decent weapon, turning into a good but not as strong as those others weapons, on first try, well yeah. Still been having a lot of fun with it though.

As the soma expert Increased reload evolution is incredible because you cant get that through exilus, but recoil you can run stabilizer or deadhead I do like raw cold myself, and have a riven with base damage and some other stuff to swap out in place of serration, frostbite is multishot for hata satya, and crit dmg is fun, + cold procs is more crit dmg, so your total in the end is like over 20x Gunco is not full benefit so its kind of a big loss here I run riven which can be serration, galv chamber, critical delay/vital sense for basic, hata satya because it doesn't do great normally but for incarnon form you ramp it up dummy fast, then cold, and finally shred for fire rate, and even MORE punch through with the evolution Oh and the base crit damage on final evolution because funny number Reinforced bond for more brrt and tenacious to get goofy high crit dmg makes soma feel incredible, not quite as good as boltor and its incarnon, but soma holds a place in my heart

soma prime + hata-satya is wonderful on zephyr, as a single shot in a tornado grants you a staxk for each enemy in the tornado, combine with enough multishot and you can max it in seconds. that and the additional 150 critchance from her passive both work very well with it. :>

one thing i want to point out is that if you enjoy using the incarnon form over the normal form hata-satya is a very good mod, it procs on every bullet hit so the high innate multishot of the incarnon makes it shred through almost anything

I've recently been messing around the soma, and I have 2 builds that kinda work. The first is similar to what you did, except for one thing. I was thinking on how I maximize Hata, and ended up with Tainted Mag. With frostbite and other multishot mods, it takes about a quarter of the actual mag to max stack it, or 10 shots of the incarnon. Then you have the 500% crit for the rest of the mission. Radiated Reload helps with the reload speed and adds an element besides cold, so you have modspace to play with. The second. Well. Hear me out here. I hate it too but it appears to work. Blast. It might have an abysmal status chance but there are so many bullets you end up with a lot of procs anyway. And then it has an AoE that also staggers enemies constantly.

Honestly if Hata-Satya worked like the ocucor augment, where holstering does not remove the buff, and refills part of your magazine on kill, I would find it worth using over crit delay. Great vid as always Mr.KZbinMan If you havent already, I would recommend trying out the Boltor Prime incarnon :D

I took Soma Prime to an EDA run a couple weeks back. Fiddled with the build a bit before braving the depths and was honestly surprised how hard she spanked. You see the rouge necramechs pop up and then Soma would rev up and the HP bar would decrease almost instantly

Soma Prime was my first Prime weapon. And the issue with the game marking a single dude at the start of the mission is because Exterminate missions are coded to have the exact number of enemies on the mission. Which is why enemies capable of spawning more enemies (Corpus marksmen with the little drone spawner and Grineer Drahk/Hyekka Masters) also cause the number of enemies you need to kill to increase every time they spawn more enemies in. The game has an expectation of how fast you should be killing enemies but it's almost always going to be slower than you're actually killing them. So, because you're further through the mission than the game expects you to be, it spawns an enemy or two in a room you've already cleared. IDK why that room tends to be within 3 tiles of your infiltration point though. I would suggest "it's so the game can get a bit of breathing room and spawn more enemies in front of you" but this game has been kept up to date remarkably well and shouldn't really be limited by the game engine in that way.

The only issue I have with Soma incarnon is the lack of aoe that most other incarnons provide. I gave up using soma many years ago, not because it's weak, but over dependency of walking around doing headshots like you do and the fact that there's SO many more steel path spawns that come to deal with simple single target zoomed in focus and damage if NOT running a frame like Inaros. Playing him gets quite old in a very short period of time. The singular playstyle is just not my cup'a anymore anyhow. I love the frame variety.

@@karthebest5155 of course it is, but when you realize most incarnon weapons offer more, and the boltor incarnon is literally just a better version of this, it becomes disappointing, i love the soma myself and i wish they buff the incarnon
