1)Armored units don't have enough initiative to move and attack on the same turn, which is why your M60s didn't join you for that first battle. 2)SEAD, SEAD, SEAD. The AI doesn't know how to turn off radar AA, so a well managed SEAD plane or two can work wonders for clearing the skies. 3)Units that have been routed (with the little red triangle symbol next to them) can be destroyed by moving one of your units into the same sector they retreated to, even if the enemy has unbroken units in that sector. Abusing the hell out of this mechanic is the most efficient way to kill off most battlegroups. I recommend keeping an airborne unit around for this purpose if you can because they can move 2 sectors per turn, allowing you to pop in and surrender the retreating units then pop back out before their friends get angry and attack your most likely outmatched helos (for example, on that first turn you could have bought the attack helicopter squadron and sent them forward to destroy the Pong'ae and what was left of the reserve infantry, then pulled them back before ending your turn). If helicopter units aren't available you can send a ground unit forward and simply retreat it when the enemy attacks, since they retreat to the same sector they came from and don't suffer much in the way of morale penalties. The only time you can't abuse this is when the enemy retreats into a no go sector, which there are generally fewer of in the other campaigns, which generally leads to an annoying series of battles where they keep crossing back into your territory with progressively fewer units until you finally kill enough of them to destroy the whole thing or, worse, gets down to so few units that the AI remember that it can retreat fro battles.

Not so much as NK SPAAGs (including their Shilkas) don't have radar, according to this game.

Vulcan-You need to slow down your deployment and make sure you round out your forces having recon will enable your tanks to fire at max range. Those T-72’s were scary. Great content am really enjoying this series.

Yeah the trick with this campaign is to get everything you'll need to take Sokcho out of Seoul before turn 5, you really don't need much to hold Seoul since the Koreans have nothing that can counter your Hazard-Perry and Strbs. You can just leave a single marine regiment and the ships there and job's done. Also don't forget to use and abuse your SEAD, the AI is terrible with radar micro. Overall good stuff, keen to see the Pearl of the Orient campaign and more Wargame content.

Rocket Arty killing helos... As Raptor would say "Little kim must have some superior north korean technology, those bastards!"

Sure are odd planes, I bet they'd go faster if you put the prop on the front instead of on top.

@6:00 This map is hard to attack "for real" from Seoul. So it's much better to deploy one marine regiment (on day 2) in the fight for Seoul proper and after the enemy formations rout, on the same turn pursue and destroy them here by deploying the 2nd marine regiment at Seoul. It's important not to deploy the 2nd rgt. before the Seoul fight though, so they have enough initiative left on that turn to pursue and destroy (without an actual fight as routed units cannot fight) the NK units fleeing from Seoul. On day 2 this is feasible because there's a single enemy recon helicopter squad on this map. Also, after you take this map without a fight, it's much easier to defend on the next turn, as you can deploy infantry in the four- and two-point town/areas "to Donghae" and "to Sandang". @9:30 Luckily the AI did the one thing that wasn't going to work too well here, spam their planes against heavy AA missiles. Also, as I said in an earlier comment, the AI loves to bomb tanks with whatever it has. Never mind those marines assaulting the town, which were too far out for effective AA cover; the planes could have all dropped on them before dying to the Hawks...
