Why won't you play War Thunder?
▪️ I raged at getting sniped by tanks that I could never see. Also nonsense like turning bushes off that helps you perform better. That seems like a terrible design to me. War Thunder also had drama several years ago about the CEO calling the fanbase to help strike down channels or using copyright strikes to eliminate channels entirely. That is such abuse of power and dictatorial nonsense that I refuse to play a game created by such a company.

Parking targets for the nighthawk was my favourite line closely followed by the big guy in the sky. That Nighthawk was MVP and crucial to your success. Even the one bomb that went crazy still got a kill.

The M113A1 is the same price as the M113A3 but without 3 armor. That 3 armor vs 1 armor would have made a big difference at a couple points in this match. A3s delete Spetznaz and Li Jian 90'. So does CS.

Yeah the only drawback is it is not amphibious, Stealth usually prefers options which is why he went with that in that deck. Ironically he explains this exact thing in his US General Deck analysis

With all of that infantry, had blue started with contesting the town it would have been a much tougher match vs those decks.

The red decks were definitely "we let the enemy bleed themselves out against Spetznaz and Liu Jian in the town while we flank with VDV and schtuff" because that's meta and when blue team decided to not, their entire game plan short-circuited and they didn't know what to do

A few unit choices that i personally don’t understand and would love to hear your reasoning behind. Why riflemen in the A1 Gavin? I get it, it’s a 5 pointer, but being able to actually survive an rpg hit means the .50 cal is less useless for the same exact price Also, F/A-18A, AND the A-10 The A-10, no matter how cool i find to be unreliable, with any potential targets hiding before it could do anything. Also, the C hornet is perhaps the most efficient AT plane for the us. You can get off 4 high tier mavericks in one sortie, compared to maybe two

Explainer for those who don't know: Mike sparks, also derogatorily referred to as sparky (not the irish one btw) is a self proclaimed defence expert and analist (and derided by anyone with even basic knowledge of defence, or a lick of common sense). He coined the nickname 'Gavin' for the M113 (a vehicle that he seems to be unhealthily obsessed with and holds to be the absolute unbeaten pinnacle of armored vehicle design even for roles it is completely unsuited for), despite no-one ever using it before or after. Sparks is also responsible for the abomination against reason and sanity called the AeroGavin, just look up the Lazorpig video on it you'll understand.

I nearly exclusively play tacs/super tacs, yeah? I don't like the word "campy." Don't get me wrong, I do know what you mean- especially compared to Conquest- but you need to play your advantages and create them where you can. It's a semi "realistic" game where sometimes, it's necessary. Besides, when your team starts losing their toys because of over-aggression and start surrendering, a strategic defense in-depth can certainly turn the tide. I can't tell you how many games where good defensive strategy and falling back as needed turns the tide completely in your favor. It's just smart play :P

26:31 how did you split the bombs like that?

I was constantly clicking attack move. If you do it at just the right time (in the split second) after it drops the first bomb then you can have the other bomb target something else.

You can do that with other bombers that have guided bombs too. If you turn weapons off just after the first bomb releases, the plane will preserve the other weapon and you can hit something else with it
