Only fair. My winrate is about 50-50 at this point. By cherrypicking only the best games I give a false image.

A tactic that I find vital to make south Africa work is what I like to call the retreating flank, a good example where it could have worked is in your first battle, while you were being pushed in the middle but you still had some terrain up in golf, that gives you a safe area to manouver your rooikats into the enemy flank/back making easy work of those tanks that are just hard enough in the front

I love the turn your channel do with the ranked game, it’s another point of view.

I never quite understand why you never push on your flanks immediately when you see a huge column like in the first battle, since you have mobility advantage and you are defienetly stronger on flanks since he must burn a lot of points on meatshilds in the center. If you push him on your right side he must spend more points on securing that, which means less points to counter you in the middle where you already won the inital engagement. I feel like you are overfocused in narrow side of the battle. SAF seems to me like a perfect harrasemnt faction, where on the count of mobility you can engage on multiple fronts, even if you not nessesary win all the fights you can make your opponent to play more defensive becouse he must secure more heavly all the flanks so he doesn't have units to prepare a bigger offensive.

Over the last several ranked games I've been burned before when I tried flank attacks. They can definitely work, but more often than not I just order my forces ahead and then refocus on the enemy column. By doing that I lose sights of the flank forces and they get killed by some minor resistance. You're definitely right about SA's mobility. That's something I still try to incorporate into my gameplay. I'm slowly getting the hang of it.

I find South Africa to be on par with Canada and ANZACs most believe (and I totally understand why) they are no good in a stand up fight but as someone who has had their ass hand to them by Canada I can honestly say that they can stand the test if your damn good. Yes it can be countered with a tank but what a tank does not have is speed and what South Africa does not lack is speed so blind the bugger with smoke and flank him. to the noobs that keep telling me Israel is OP. their not and to counter them just use smoke that would turn them into a US force up close. remember as long as your still breathing the fight isn't over. here in Canada most of us know these words and there meaning (as well as a unit that uses them) and live by them in everything we do so I hope everyone else will take them get out there into your own battles whether they be of life or a video game "We Will Find A Way" - motto of JTF 2.

Yes -- I believe the true sleeper unit of SADF isn't the 105 Rooikat or the Bucanner or the Loggim -- I think it's the Ratel 60. It might not pack a huge punch with only 2 HE, but you can get a LOT of them. And every single one of them can smoke -- the ability to mass organic indirect fire support is similar to having cheap mortar squads. Even if they don't do a lot of damage, they're hard to kill if you keep them back and cheap to shoot. And this is before you consider that you can literally blanket the battlefield in smoke with 2 HE mortars. I wouldn't bring them on 90's or grinding infantry, but with FIST or optional infantry teams? Hell yes.

Milan 1's are pretty g actually. Of course, individually they're pretty awful, but they're so cheap it's quite easy to get them out all over the place. And when you have half a dozen of them flying from all different directions, a couple will get through and do some serious damage

I'm really liking the south Africans, I'm kind of surprised

Hell in very small place is really not map for SA. Your flanking options are limited to few corridors or extremly slow forrest flanks, which are in same time higly predictebly and can be countered. And on top of that, if you get heavy mechanized force on this map for enemy, you are in really bad fight from beggining.

Need those ferret's and ystervark for cheap support. South Africa have to renact the battle of austerlitz
@RaDeus873 жыл бұрын
Seems like the counter to South Africa is the Tank tab 😅
@bryan0x053 жыл бұрын
Yes and no, you need to be careful the loggim is a good and relatively cheap superheavy, able to take down other tanks, and can be fire supported by rookits and the like. Tanks are slow and sa is fast, which is the interesting thing about sa, i can choose ground to take a fight due to my speed.

The tank tab and lacking 5 point transports. if you get into a straight up mech grind as SA you will just lose out over time.

Still watching your vid but I have already picked up one issue you seem to have with your deck. Your opponent in the first match kept bringing in Motostrelki in MT-LBVs which only cost 15 points yet your cheapest unit seemed to be at least 30 points - you are never going to win a grinding fight if you are constantly outnumbered 2 to 1. I'm no expert but even I know that grinding forest fights need masses of cheap infantry and lots of fire support, neither of whihc you seem to have in your deck.

Do you actually like the SA deck, or do you just like the challenge? Because it seems like a terrible faction to me; way too little staying power, and ducking out of fights to flank elsewhere just isn't always an option.
@Stealth17Gaming3 жыл бұрын
Yes I like it. It plays so different from the other decks. In other games I'm also usually playing lightly armored scouts/glass cannons. SA fits right in.
@antred113 жыл бұрын
@@Stealth17Gaming Well, it would be hell for me to have to play decks like this, but more power to you! 👍
