4:20 - Those Mi-24V's made a HUGE mistake by charging into the Cobras' Vulcan range. If they had stopped at 2400m range and maintained it, they could've easily defeated them with Iglas while taking minimal loses as all the DAPs had been shot down by that point.

i love watching this game, i really hope they do another one like it, steel division didnt do it for me. im not really sure why, i love ww2, and i love this game, but SD just bores me to watch.

Yeah same! I love Wargame so much, and I love WWII, but steel division just is not as fun. I really can not pin down why though.

11:28 how do you do the thing where all the units selected pop to single units like saladisforgoats did?

There is a button at the bottom right when you select an group of units to split them.

@@DaandriC when I press or use that button it turn into an attack marker and using that on unit in question it splits only one unit. Do I have to hold it or double click it or something?

@@Contentrist Press the split button and press it anywhere other than the unit; e.g. click on an open piece of ground. Very late answer but hopefully useful to anyone else still clueless about it.

@@tommeakin1732 depends in the Gamemode. There are Games where u just manage a handfull of Units, some where u use a shitload of them. Last Match i only had 2 mbts and 1 CAS plane.

@@tommeakin1732 Try playing on tactical servers. The problem is high income and high starting points, especially on smaller maps. You need to actively avoid that experience.

im no sure the control area victory is better than the front line victory in a solo game i lost with a major efficienty superiority and far more remaining units just because the AI focus as a kamikaz at geting control

Another mistake is to take lightly the importance of helo rockets. Going for all missiles helos. Also more importantly, they didnt scout the destination with a cheap plane to minimise surprises from enemy helo. Cheap plane with IR missiles are the best for that task.

Compared to its real-life capabilities, REDFOR is massively, ridiculously overmodeled.

@@antred11 nope evry aspect of RED is cut into nothingness the infantry can't win against equall numbers of equall rank infantry. Tanks are severely limited in accuracy ap and stabilization. All bmp/btr are more expensive comparable vehicles . some weapons like the kpvt are just doing nothing. The aa is nerved in range damage and lacks the heavy aa like the s300 and blue got its Patriots. The arty is missing tactical rockets and big guns like the 270 mm mortar. Helicopters are a joke you can shoot down mi 24 whit small arms fire something that hasn't been done in 40 years of that helicopter in real live.

Yes, the helo rushes were cancer. But I believe a lot more decisions or lack thereof made Red lose the game.

I always felt that Steel Division was too slow I liked wargame more.
