I hate to nitpick, and it didn't end up mattering, but Cylena is not an eligible target for eVlad's feat. Valachev made her friendly Faction, but she's a Character model, and his feat is non-character only. But, as I said, immaterial, and an excellent assassination! Keep up the good work, you have some of the best battle reports on the net.

Oof, bit of a worse one rules wise, but the errors didn't really matter in the end, so that's good. Someone mentioned the illegal Eliminator charges already. Cylena is a character, btw. ;-) I do want to point out, I really like how Brooker measured Hyperion's run his first turn! Tape measure out in front, blocking everything beyond the distance he wanted to move. It's hard to measure huge bases like that well, and I've personally been getting a bit frustrated with other opponents reverse measuring and end up over measuring. A specific example I can think of, is an opponent measuring the range of his shorter gun first, and thanks to over measuring reverse, we both ended up seeing the range of the longer range gun. So, props to Brooker for measuring the way he did! A couple tips, you mentioned Admonition, so that's good. He did remember Apparition on the Chimera turn 3. Apparition does trigger turn 1, and since it's a place effect, you may have been able to apparate out of the forest turn 2. It's a bit over 1.5" for a meduim base, so if your 0.5" melee leaves the forest, you can apparate completely out later. Just something for future games, should it come up. Last thing: Funny thing about tramples. You don't get back strike bonus if you end your movement in the front arc of your target. The attack roll is done after movement is completed, and that's when the check is made for back strikes. Your opponent needs to get paint on the rest of his minis, though. ;o) I imagine you must have been taken aback when the Great Bears of Gallowswood vanished from the face of Caen, but you held it together and pulled out the assassination victory. Little rules niggle on this one I thought you might care to note: Your eliminators can't charge something they move over. A charge requires you to not let your target leave your melee arc once they've entered it, and if you go over the model you're charging then you've done just that. I'm not sure it would have mattered in the grand scheme of things as you likely could have hit things behind the front line anyway, but still, it's good to note for when that isn't the case.

First off just wana say you do a great job on your battle report videos, my group and I really enjoy watching them. One thing you did made me do a double take: it was for Vlads feat, it affected the correct amount of models but it only affects non character and if i am correct Cylena is a character inside of a character unit. Now granted Cylnea ended up not doing any damage so it ended up not mattering, but I was just curious as to if this was a minor overlook or something I am unaware of was making this possible. As a Press Ganger things like this always come up so i always wana make sure I am accurate, which is why I'm making sure there isnt something I am missing.

+benjamin Rodriguez You are completely right. Cylena is not a proper target for the feat. I've played this list several times and I'm used to just choosing on of her Nyss for it. It just happened that, in this game, she was the only Nyss left and I didn't think about it. I'm really glad it didn't have an impact on the game.

Scary scary elfses! There's not a lot of elves in my local meta, but recently there's been at least one guy playing them regularly. We've still struggling with how to adapt to that. Stealthy shooty elves, that often seem to ignore anything like cover or intervening models, is a scary thing indeed. Ironically, the caster I've had most success with, against them, so far has been pSeverius. You know, the frail old guy with paper armor. :P

Khador includes Sylys and the Nyss. They're fighting against their fellow elves. A story based on this battle report would be very interesting, very cool.

Nyss aren't Iosan they're a different breed and Khador took in the majority of Nyss refugees after the Legion of Everblight almost annihilated their people. Sylas is basically a stalking horse for the Ret similar to Eiryss. Don't trust elves who show up promising to help your Warcasters.

psycojester I know, but the Nyss were once the same as the Iosans and still worship the same pantheon of gods. The Ret certainly don't want to lose Nyssor as well. There's definitely going to be some good emotional conflict in any story about this battle report.

Nice game! Just as a comment, at 10:47 when the eliminators charge the halberdiers, that is not a legal charge. Once you enter the melee range of the charged model you cannot leave it, even if going through him and exiting at the back means that you are engaging the model.

+Francesc Massanes You are incorrect. Once the charge target is in the charging model's melee range, it must stay in the charging model's melee range for the entire charge. Note that has no reference to the charge target's melee range. One may charge into and out of the charge target's melee range, so long as the target is still in one's own melee range. Ordinarily this would trigger a free strike, but the Kayazy Eliminators cannot be targeted by free strikes due to Acrobatics.

+WarGamerGirl After further review, it looks like the problem is that the Kayazy Eliminators melee range only extends to their front arc. They cannot charge to a point that would leave the target outside their front arc (models must turn to face the direction that they move). Chalk it up to experience and remember it for the next game.

You can't charge with Acrobatics the way you did it at 10:46 for example: as long as your model doesn't have a 360 degree front arc (like the Eliminator), it's illegal to move through the charged model's base - and turn around. Your charge target must always stay in the charging model's melee range.

As a side note the Hyperion should be dice + 2 vs a Juggernaut. He is pow 22 with concentrated power. I think the ret player popped feat a turn too early

I have a question at 10:46. Can Model charge through the target even it have ability to move cross enemy models? I mean, charge attack said you need stop when your target is in your melee range then face it or you fail. You don't have Circular vision, your melee range only at front arc, you just cross your target and turn 360 around to face it. Is it a legal charge attack? Or something I miss it?

+Reverie Watch some of her older battle reports, the 5th or 6th one vs trolls was pretty brutal. By the way, war casters that can close games is something that khador pays for by not having much in the way of support models(i.e. cygnar's journeyman war caster, protectorate's choir, trolls krielstone)
