What probably did happen was the crew had the entire scene shot before this question without telling anyone other than Lightman and Liggett............................ and then Lightman just winged it the first time. That was probably how it happened. The laughter is probably from the kids that are in the room.

nudist1033 From IMDB: "When David makes a joke directed at his teacher about asexual reproduction the laughter heard afterwards is considered to be the rest of the kids in the classroom. But John Badham (director) said that some of the crew didn't know the punch line and laughed out loud during the scene. That laughter was left in the sound track, and if you listen closely you will hear what is clearly adults laughing out loud, rather than classroom sniggering."

Ouch for you! When I was in high school, I had a B grade in 1st. semester Biology and then a C grade in 2nd. semester biology in 2007-2008 in my sophomore year of high school and that was because the tests were killing my grade. In college, I received an F in university biology because I failed the final exam (which was a 100 questions) and I had two hours to complete the exam. My university level biology syllabus stated if you get an F on the exam, you fail the class even if you get an A in everything else. Biology was my least favorite subject in high school and in college. Why? Because you have to do a lot of memorizing and applying some of the stuff you learned in biology. Not to mention, there was a lot of Biology jargon (e.g. Symbiosis, Mitosis vs Meiosis, Photosynthesis I preferred Chemistry and Physics over Biology. Why again? Because they have lots of math compared to biology and the lab experiments are fun compared to biology. True, Physics math is harder than the math in Chemistry. But, the concepts in Chemistry are harder to understand than the concepts in Physics. I was more of a Physics person than a Chemistry person because I love math. Bottom lines is that Biology is a tough subject but so are Physics and Chemistry especially at the college level. But, it is worth learning these subjects.

***** When driving a car, is it not your responsibility to operate the car safely? If you have an accident, for whatever reason, you have failed to operate the car safely. Would you not agree with that? If the student fails to learn, the teacher has FAILED TO TEACH. It doesn't matter who's fault it is. Did you fail to read my statement. "It never occurs to BAD teachers...." Even good teachers will fail from time to time, just as even good drivers will have accidents from time to time. It's why you wear seat belts and pay to have air bags in your car. However bad teachers fail more often, and will have more students in each class getting F's. The teacher in this class shows off the F's as if the students are stupid. He doesn't realize they HE'S the stupid one.
@jp38139 жыл бұрын
Eric Taylor The car analogy only works if you drive it for under an hour, five days a week. And then other people get to drive it and pass it around for the rest of its time. If it runs out of gas, it's not entirely because of you. The teacher isn't the only influence on a student's progress and attitude. Good or bad, the student could easily disregard their teachings.
