Great box and great review. That painted guy looks more like what we call a whitecican 🤣 Also i feel like a number of your complaints with the box come down to historical reasons. There are only 2 banners per sprue because there are only 2 full body suits and since both were signs of prestige the banners wouldn't be used by naked guys. The cuextecatl heads look weird on the regular bodies because they should be using full suits too, etc etc

I know in warhammer 40k there is two imperial guard regiments base on aztec the fists of lagus and the oran jaguars and this miniature box is perfect

Their hand-weapon is the macahuitl. It's kinda like using a saw for a weapon.

Very light details on this one. Maybe that is because I am used to GW's Kroot, or the Marauders and Catachans with there good old panto-graphed 3-Up muscle details.

Ya with all then 3d artists out there why couldn't they get BETTER BODIES??? I was kind of excited about this and the lack of detail is just depressing!!!! With monthly minis I guess we are just LUCKY to see such high quality figures poured on us month after month. I'd be pissed if I was a historical guy. I must have seen 6 different were shark sets today on my mini factory and that wan't even specifically looking for them!!!!! I have a BUNCH from wrath of kings!!!! I think I have like 40+!!! I want to do a stupid big Cuthulu table some day.

I've enjoyed Lion Rampant for smaller scale historical battles. Especially since I don't have the time or patience to paint up massive piles of both armies!
