Great and nicely balanced kit review. Now I've got to get a Panzer Lehr force to do. LIke the little conversions you did here and there giving the figures a more realistic feel. Loved the luger gas can guy. Glad you painted him up and showed him with the rest at the end. Hope you and Rex are having a good time and that the weather isn't too horrible. It's a chilly 37C here this Sunday morning. Ugh. Only 2.5 months left to go of summer.

Thanks Mate! glad you enjoyed it. Its a great great kit; Panzer Lehr were lighly equipped because of the quantity of their transports and their leaving stuff within them, but I just liked the extra bits here and there on the models for sure scattered about the squads. Weather hasnt been too bad; just came off my sergeants course in the centre of our North Island ; on the final exercise -19 days in the field- we got rained on 14 days non stop but then clear weather- couldnt believe we escaped getting snowed on! So I have zero complaints! 😆Dan

Hi Keith , yep the models a good one, plus the tools and add a little bit of backscraping off of the webbing yoke and another such as the kneeling one would make a great 'during repair' pose also. Highly recommended kit, you wont be disappointed! Thanks for watching. Regards, Dan

No mention on the sculpting error on the jackets? They are wearing the SS cut jacket. They wore the Heer cut jacket.
@ValhallaGames Жыл бұрын
Hi Sean, thanks for watching and your feedback...Yes i believe its something to do with the lapel overlap- is that correct? specifically that the vertical overlap of the wrap rather than a slanted one for Heer?Always enjoy your facts and feedback on posts. Regards, Dan
@seantighe3077 Жыл бұрын
That’s right. The vertical edge of the wrap was SS only. I have been seeing a glut of easily corrected errors on Wargames Atlantic WW2 sculpts of late. It won’t bother most gamers but it’s just as easy to do it right in most cases.

nice ideas! very versatile for sure...just one of Wargames Atlantic's strengths are the kitbashing possibilities within their own brand, let alone adding other plastics to them. We'd love to see your results when your army is ready! Regards, Dan

Very nice job. Any chance of a size comparison with warlords range...i have some warlord ones and wonder how these would compare mixed in? Cheers

Hi Andrew, yes- if you check out the last workbench update i put out on the channel, i think the panzer lehr are the second (?) force shown that ive been working on. There are a mix of WA and Warlord figures amongst the Pz Lehr, so you will be able to check it out. I think they mix good. Seems a lot of milliput / green stuff has to be used for shoulder joints or others.
@ValhallaGames2 жыл бұрын
Hi Eric, the good news is- no, not really! I did a lot of angled cuts around what would be the 'armpit' of the arms, and therefore the attachment point , in order to get new poses. This changed how much contact area there was at the point where the torso and the arms connect, so i was happy to putty it up. I also used warlord games arms with these bodies which were just a little out, so i blended them together. Out of the box there is no need at all to do this, they are an excellent fit. Hope that help? good observation based on what i have done in the video, so im really glad you asked so i could clarify- thank you. Regards, Dan

@ValhallaGames Жыл бұрын
Hi, yes that would be nice for some variation. TBH i would be happy with one or two STGs and maybe a body with zeltbahn on it, hanging naturally- a bit more so than the warlord games ones. I would though rather fill up any space with more SMG pouches and web gear. Still- its a great kit despite a little wishlist and a couple of things. WA are doing a great job. Thanks for watching, and sorry for late reply- im getting married next weekend so im a bit all over the place! Regards, Dan

I find your criticism of the Warlord figures somewhat disingenuous. In the first instance, though you don't discuss it, you have used some putty on the joints which I can only assume are for the purpose of filling in the gaps between the arms and the body. By comparison we have put our newly bought Brit Infantry and Pzr Grenadiers together without the problems you discussed. This makes me wonder if you have an issue with construction of figures in general or a beef against Warlord Games? I have no problems with multiple suppliers providing models for a single project but I am hesitant to troll any given brand.
@ValhallaGames6 ай бұрын
Hi, Firstly- thanks for watching! Secondly; I really appreciate you leaving your comment so I could address it for you, and it let me know that perhaps other viewers also might think that I have a problem with a brand. I hope you will excuse the length of my reply here as I hope to reassure you I do not!: I have indeed used filler on some joints of models; Those on the Wargames Atlantic (WA) models were done because I had to model them while away for work in very poor lighting and I hadn't done the optimal placement of arms onto the flat surface! That's my error and I discuss this in the video. Where I have used the Warlord Games (WG) arms on the WA bodies, one certainly has to expect that different brands will need some filling due to different fitting styles. I notice on you pointing it out ( correctly-thank you) I hadn't made comment that is why i had used filler on those kit bashes. Certainly not a slight on WG for that- as that is not their intended use on another brand. Hence I didn't mention that id used the filler at that stage, because I think that's simply more than reasonable. Thanks for pointing it out so I could clarify. I notice on your bringing it up that I had made a couple of comments making comparisons between some WG plastic components and the featured WA components, such as the fitting of the slung weapon on the WA sprue being better than the WG one in my opinion, and that the dynamic leaning pose was better than some earlier WG ones ( although NOT more dynamic than other WG ones, especially more recent sets). These are of course just my opinion in the context I was using the pieces /kit for. All Plastic kit manufacturers are evolving and improving their product, and WG having brought us plastics earlier than many other manufacturers also recognise this and are slowly replacing kits they feel they can improve on...just to clarify, i dont feel that means they are 'bad', they are just going from strength to strength in their design and production. We LOVE Warlord Games, and have quite literally thousands of their infantry and vehicles! They and many other manufacturers continue to lead the way for mass plastic production for historicals, and they are doing a GREAT job. The comments are purely my preference for those individual component comparisons...just one of the strengths of the scene at present is that manufacturers such as these two brands are highly compatible as discussed in the video. Thanks for watching, and i hope you get to read this and I thank you for your feedback so I could reassure you of my intent. Im glad you had fun in assembling your models, and hope youre enjoying your hobby time! Kind regards, Dan.
