Although it's missing a lot of options for the big knight. It is still a great deal for that box set. If I were to start a knight army, I would definitely grab this one.

i will have a chaos knights video in the near future. i played them in our 8 week escalation league, and won first place. so expect some chaos knights love in the near future, but just a heads up, this box was not really applicable for a competitive chaos knights list. ( i run almost exclusively war dogs) while i ran a big knight a couple games, my final list was 13x war dogs. (5x briggands, 5x Karnivores, 1x Stalker, and 2x Executioners) its pretty strong, and a ton of fun. running 13x mini knights is insane!

very nice, iron hands are awesome! you should def take the leap, and have a game. i find its very rewarding to get to use your minis on the table, after dedicating so much time and effort into making them look nice! cheers

I'm looking to pick up 2 of these. That would give me a full 2k list. I'm confused about what the kit comes with, though. According to the app, you can have the fists and top weapons.

so if you buy the actual kit from GW. it is a generic kit, that includes the weapon upgrade frame, and also the canis rex upgrade frame, in every box. the christmas box, comes with the bare minimum. so you're not going to have the Gatling cannon, the fist, all the top weapons, and the bits to build canis rex. so with 2x christmas boxes, you will only be able to build 1 or 2 of each: the paladin, and errant.

Even if it's not set up for competitive chaos knights what could you realistically build with this box? (I play tyranids so i truly enjoy big ass models and dont really wanna play 13 mini knights tbh.) With no access to chaos knight bundles is this worth getting?

Would the Cerastus knight battle group go good with this? I managed to get both box sets and was going to make the single Questoris into Cainis Rex.

ya the big knights are strong, and having a few little guys is necessary

is it convertible into chaos knights as well? I read somewhere that they will be missing some sprues probably linked to chaos options?

no conversions necessary. it has everything for chaos. there are different knights kits, that are chaos only. these are all the kits that build either chaos or imperial knights. the one sprue that is missing for chaos knights, has the some of the weapon options to build alternative knights. each of the knights used to come in different boxes, and a couple years ago, GW put all the kits together into 1 big kit. so really nothing is missing, you just dont get the all encompassing knight kit, so all the new people dont realize, this wasnt how it used to be. if you buy this, you will not get the gattling cannon, the top mount weapon options, or the power fist. you can still build multiple knight variants, for imperial, including the chaos knights, you just will be limited. there are also separate chaos knights for sale, that are different kits, for different knights, including the big knights, and war dog options.
