so there are a lot of differences. there are basically 3 different sized knights in 40k. the main chassis are the standard knight, the armiger knights, and the indomnitus knight. this set includes one of the standard knights, and 4 of the armiger knights (smaller ones). so this box has 5 knights, but not 5 full size knights, only 1. it also doesnt come with the extra weapons and upgrades for the standard knight. so you cant build canis rex, or some of the variants for the big knight. so there are a lot of differences, but the christmas boxes are always a nice deal, as i point out, you save over $100, and roughly 35% over retail. that being said, the christmas boxes are a limited time deal, so its not something you can always purchase, once they are gone, they are gone.

ya most people are clueless, or looking at everything from a very skewed view. i try to approach it from different angles, and keep it real. i also focus on if there is value in multiple boxes, or combining it with a combat patrol, since thats the most realistic for the majority of viewers. i'm glad you like the box, and enjoyed the video, cheers. I pulled the trigger on two sets. lol after I build one box I figure I can do some 3D printing to get the other weapon sets if I need them worst case scenario, I would sell the second box. has expressed interest in starting the ik army soon as well. and once the codex drops, maybe I can sell the box for a bit of a premium?

Majority of Toughness. So if captain join, Majority is T4. You're not really benefiting from having a captain, defensively.

this is incorrect. the core rules clearly states, the majority toughness is based on the body guard unit, not taking into account attached characters. so it is toughness 6, regardless of the attached captain per the core rules, and was ruled this way as well.

On the unit datasheet

its the adeptus astartes army rule. all the datasheets have it as well. GW just threw the index rules together hastily, and put some of the army rule stuff in weird places, without including other rules.

i always list the paints i used in the description. but here it is: Airbrush: Purple Xereus Purple 75/25 50/50 White Ink

of course you can. the most important thing, is that your model is clearly representative of the datasheet, and that he's on the right base size.

you can basically build the same 1,000 pt list that is in the description. the knights have slightly different names, and points costs, but its basically the same list. 1 big knight, and 4x armigers, for chaos. cheers its def worth getting. its a great deal

its a great box, and its going to be part of the existing range, so should be readily available. they just under estimated the demand in a few countries, so it sold out immediately, but appears to be showing back up here in the USA

they only put out warhammer 40k kill team expansions one time, once they are gone, they are gone for good. they always under produce them. every quarter there is a new box, with new teams, and terrain, but they never reprint them. welcome to 40k. cheers

no they never reprint the kill team expansions. they always sell out immediately. its always a bummer for those who dont know the cycle, but it happens every time. a new box will come out in 3 months, with new models, and terrain, but they never reprint them, or make enough. the individual teams, and terrain will eventually be released, but individual prices are much higher, which is why these boxes sell out, they are a great deal

correct, bullgryn, and ogryns are one kit. which is why you can buy one box, and build either 3 of one, 3 of the other or a mix. i thought i did a good job explaining, that you could build this team with just one box, but maybe someone will see this exchange, and it will help clear things up. cheers

i completely agree, by far the worst in my opinion!

i dont find thats the case at all. the vespids are a massive upgrade, and the aquillons are awesome. terrain is top notch, not sure what you're actual complaint is with the quality, maybe you dont like the designs, or the model choices, but they are top notch quality.

​@TableTopBROs You're not talking about the set featured in the video. Hivestorm which you are refering to is of normal quality. The video how ever is of the killteam starter set (2024) It contains the blind bag models. They were not produce by the GW factory in Nottingham They do not use the same plastic nor is the tooling up to standard. Fair enough you got confused with what video you was replying to But how you can "review" this set and not notice the drop in quality is ignorant at best. But if I was to be charitable. You didn't review anything like advertised. You only filmed yourself opening a box and being excited about something new. Wanting to do the whole youtube thing and not being objective is forgiveable.

of course, just make sure the kit you buy has all the weapon options, and not one of the older boxed sets, which did not include everything! easy way to tell is the new box packaging

both are completely viable options. war dogs work great with DG, and also on their own, i love them!

Forgot to mention, I not only use the Pro Acryl washes, but I have also decanted all my Citadel washes and Contrast paints into dropper bottles.

so i put all my normal citadel paints into dropper bottles. but i use all the contrast paints and washes/shades in the original pots. its all preference. i like the washes and contrast paints straight from the bottle, but when i put the contrast paints through the airbrush, i'm always thinking, it might be time, to convert over to droppers.

ya i agree, its good to add to some of the previous boxes, but not the best for starting a new army

Not the most meta build but if they get some changes ( like points decrease on repentia) could be the next good style of play for a adeptus sororitas player. Its like we are getting taunted that it's almost a viable option.
